Iāve lived with cats throughout my life, being there to support them through all stages of life from pregnancy, birthing, and kittenhood to old age and crossing the rainbow bridge. My soul-kitty companion lived with me in two countries and five cities for all 18.5 years of her life. Currently, my young cat family consists of mommy and daddy, who were both rescues, and their two daughters.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
In my 20s I regularly house/cat-sat for a couple who had two cats; and I once cat-sat for a friend who had three cats. Admittedly, my 20s was quite a long time ago and this is my first professional cat-sitting experience. Iām excited to get started and am offering discounted rates until December 31, 2026 while I gain professional experience! As a cat-parent, Iāve had friends, family, neighbors or acquaintances take care of my own cats for me with mixed levels of comfort. Iām very happy to provide the level of cat care I wish I always had, as The Catās Meow Carešš¾
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes I do! Hanami (flower-viewing party) is my rescue mommy kitty; Tsukimi (moon-viewing party) is my rescue daddy; KÅkÅ (shining radiantly like the brilliant moon) is the older sister; and Nikoniko (smiling brightly and cheerfully like sunshine) is the younger sisterāalthough they are litter mates. And they embody their names purrfectly too!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
In all cases, I address each cat respectfully as the individual being that they are and do my best to center my behavior around their needs. With timid and anxious cats my focus is on invitation and patience. Iāll leave food or a treat out for them and leave the space so they can get it on their own terms and in their own time. Sometimes Iāll lay down on the floor and pretend to be asleep at a āsafeā distance and let the cat explore as they wish, or not. Never forcing anything on a cat and patience is key. You have to earn their trust.

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
