I have had cats in my care for the past 30 years. I have been working with Meowtel for over a year and absolutely love it!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I ❤️❤️❤️ kitties and love to love on them! And what’s more? They love to love on me too! It’s a purrfect match!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Adam and Jamie were rescue kittens and when they were 12 years old Adam, unfortunately, developed diabetes which required an insulin injection twice a day, as well as oral gabapentin for pain. He was on the mend when he was attacked by a dog. His injuries were too great and we had to make the decision no fur parent should have to. He passed on June 6th, 2024. 😿We miss him greatly. 😿 Since then, we have taken in 4 more cats and 2 dogs. It’s a full house!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
When hiring a cat sitter, think like your feline friend! Choose someone who will not only keep the food bowl full but also bring the fun. Look for a sitter who can engage in epic feather wand battles and provide the best chin scritches in town. Check for someone who's detail-oriented and can follow your kitty's routine down to the last whisker twitch. Communication is key, so pick a sitter who will send you adorable updates. Remember, a happy cat means a happy home!

I have a really messy cluttered house and 12 cats. One of them being sick. Michelle wasn’t judgemental at all and she understood what it was like living in a dirty messy house. I was so relieved. She did a wonderful job doing everything I asked and sent me updates along with pictures. She sent me pictures of the litterboxes after every time she cleaned them, pictures of the cats eating after she fed them, and pictures of her daughter giving my sick cat her dietary supplements(her daughter is more experienced with sick cats so I said it was okay for her to come along too). The daily updates put my mind at ease knowing that my babies were in good hands!! I will be booking her again next time I need them to be watched! Thank you so much Michelle!!!🫀🫀

Michelle is a remarkable and caring person. My cat looks forward to her visits. This time she was faced with an energency. She was quick to react. She called me and I immediately called the vet to tell them she was on the way. A feral cat that I have been feeding for about 7 years appeared to have been hit by a car. Michelle advised me that it was her opinion that she was dying. So, I made the decision to have the vet euthanize her. I was so thankful and greatful that Michelle was there.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Tracy cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $37.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Michelle did a wonderful job with my kitties. She was very attentive to the detail of feeding my 2 inside kitties and 2 outside kitties. She tried to make friends with them ,but you know cats and mine are especially skittish, so it takes awhile.

Michelle was absolutely amazing! She took such great care of Pebbles and Bam Bam while I was away. She cleaned the litter boxes daily, refreshed their water bowls and fountains, and even cleaned their food bowls. Michelle is the best cat sitter we’ve ever had. I actually trust that she’s taking care of everything for our three cats, even doing a quick vacuuming during each visit for all the rogue furballs from their epic wrestling battles.
