I have an immense love of all animals, but cats are really where my love runs deepest. Throughout my life, there have always been cats around, and I am currently a cat parent to a crazy boy: a 10 year old black Manx. He was found as a stray as a young adult, and my previous cat was adopted through a foster parent after years of going from shelter to shelter. We have dealt with a wide variety of medical problems through the years, but those issues have made me very comfortable with administering oral and topical medications and supplements, adjusting feeding schedules and food quantities, and doing a lot of cleanup work.

I love my cat dearly, and I also extend those same feelings for any cat in my care or that I come in contact with... I have been a cat sitter for many family members and friends when they have gone on vacations or been away and needed someone to check in on their pets. I have experience caring for both young and older felines and am comfortable with all cat temperaments. I often cat sit for my parents, and they have a very finicky and feisty calico whom I have learned how to approach based on her current mood, which changes often.

As a sitter, I approach each new cat slowly and let them give me a prospective sniff so we can get acquainted and I can see how they react to gauge their temperament. I am very patient with skittish kitties and don't force myself onto them in order to respect their boundaries, as those are very important in the cat world. I pay extremely close attention to whatever cat I am focused on, and as I get to know them more, I am able to pick up on issues that I see so they can be addressed as soon as possible. I know I would want to be notified asap of any problem for my own cat, so I take that responsibility very seriously.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love meeting new kitties and seeing the way they all have incredibly different personalities. It’s so interesting. I also love when a cat gets comfortable enough with me to let their little quirks show - like finally jumping onto my lap or standing on their hind legs and pawing at me to pick them up.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a 10 year old black cat named Binx, and even my parents recognize that he is my son 🖤 I found him when he was 6 months old, so we’ve been through a lot together. He loves causing trouble and then sleeping off all that excitement.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Make sure that the sitter truly understands cat behavior - that’s very important. Cats are all unique, so the sitter needs to interact with each cat based on their personality and temperament.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I like to give them a lot of space and slowly approach with an extended hand to see how far their “challenge line” is. Once they make that boundary clear, I respect it while doing the rest of my visit duties such as cleaning the litter box or feeding. I always talk to them in a happy tone, even if they’re hiding or staying away. I feel like it helps them get used to me a little more and see that I’m not a threat.

Natalie took amazing care of our kitties. We have a girl cat who needs oral meds daily and she can be really resistant to taking them and Natalie managed to get them in her every day. We also got lots of pictures and updates to enjoy while we were gone.

Natalie is great! My cats warmed up to her right away at the meet & greet. She was gentle and kind. My one cat Mugsy is a scaredy cat and tends to hide when anyone comes to our home. Frequently Asked Questions

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
