What sets me apart is my combination of hands-on cat care experience, a deep passion for animal welfare, and years of caring for cats of all ages, personalities, and needs. I’ve cared for playful kittens, independent adults, senior cats who need extra patience, and shy or anxious cats who need time and space to feel comfortable and build trust.

My experience goes beyond cat sitting. I’m actively involved in animal rescue and fostering and have helped support cats at risk of euthanasia by connecting them with safe placements, foster homes, and adoption opportunities. Fostering has given me valuable experience learning how to read feline body language, recognize individual needs, build trust, and adjust my approach based on each cat’s personality and comfort level.

As a cat owner myself, I understand how important routine and familiarity can be. Cats are all different—some want to greet you at the door and immediately demand attention, while others prefer to observe from their favorite hiding spot until they decide you’ve earned their trust. I never force interaction and allow each cat to set the pace.

During visits, I pay close attention to the little things. I provide fresh food and water, clean litter boxes, interactive play, enrichment, cuddles and affection when wanted, and plenty of companionship. I also provide detailed updates and lots of photos so you can see how your cat is eating, behaving, and doing while you’re away.

Whether your cat wants wand-toy playtime, lap cuddles, endless scratches, or simply a calm person nearby while they nap, I tailor each visit to them.

Your cats aren’t just checked on—they’re genuinely cared for. 🐾🐈💕

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been caring for cats for years, both as a lifelong cat owner and through professional pet sitting, rescue, and fostering. I currently have four cats of my own, so I understand firsthand how different each cat’s personality, routine, and comfort level can be. My experience includes kittens, adult and senior cats, as well as shy, anxious, and slow-to-trust cats. Through fostering and rescue work, I’ve also gained experience helping cats decompress, reading feline body language, building trust, and allowing them to interact on their own terms. I treat every cat I care for with the same patience, attention, and affection I would want for my own. 🐾💕

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

What I enjoy most about cat sitting is getting to know each cat’s unique personality and earning their trust. Cats don’t give their affection to just anyone, so there’s something incredibly rewarding about a shy cat finally coming out to say hello, choosing to sit next to me, or asking for pets. I also genuinely enjoy giving pet parents peace of mind while they’re away. I know how much I worry about my own cats when I’m gone, so I love sending detailed updates and lots of photos so owners can see that their cats are happy, comfortable, and well cared for. And, of course, the cuddles, purrs, head bumps, and playtime are a pretty great bonus! 🐾💕

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

One of my favorite cat-sitting reservations was caring for two cats with completely different personalities. One was outgoing and greeted me right away, while the other was much more cautious and preferred to watch me from a distance at first. Rather than pushing for interaction, I gave the shy kitty space, kept the routine consistent, and let her decide when she was ready. With each visit, she became more comfortable until she eventually came out on her own, played with me, accepted pets, and even curled up next to me. Those are the reservations I love most. Watching a cat go from “Who are you, and why are you in my house?” to genuinely trusting me is incredibly rewarding. 😂🐾💕 It’s also why I believe cat sitting is about so much more than filling food bowls and scooping litter—it’s about making each cat feel safe and comfortable while their person is away.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes! I’m a very proud cat mom to four kitties of my own. 🐾💕 Having four cats has definitely taught me that no two cats are alike! They each have their own personalities, routines, preferences, and very strong opinions about how things should be done. Being a cat parent myself is a huge part of why I’m so passionate about cat sitting. I know exactly how it feels to leave your cats in someone else’s care and how reassuring it is to receive detailed updates and photos showing that they’re happy and safe. My four aren’t just pets—they’re family, and that’s exactly how I approach caring for my clients’ cats too.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

When working with a new cat parent, I like to start with a meet & greet so we can get to know each other and, most importantly, I can meet your kitty! We’ll go over their normal routine, feeding schedule, litter box care, favorite toys, personality, hiding spots, medications if applicable, and any special instructions. I also like to learn the little details what makes them comfortable, what they dislike, where they usually hang out, and whether they’re a social butterfly or a “please admire me from across the room” kind of cat. During the reservation, I follow your routine as closely as possible and send detailed updates with plenty of photos after every visit. If I notice anything unusual with their eating, litter box habits, behavior, or overall well-being, I’ll communicate with you right away.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I take the safety of both your cats and your home very seriously. I carefully follow all instructions provided by the pet parent and make sure doors and windows are secure before, during, and after every visit. I’m especially cautious when entering and leaving so there are no opportunities for an escape artist to sneak past me! 🐈 During each visit, I make sure I physically see or locate each cat, check that they’re eating and drinking, clean their litter boxes, and pay attention to any changes in behavior or anything unusual in the home. I also keep food, medications, toys, and other items exactly where instructed. Before leaving, I do a final check of food, water, litter, the cats’ whereabouts, doors, locks, and any specific home instructions. I also provide detailed updates and photos after each visit.

What is your favorite cat toy?

My favorite cat toy has to be a wand toy! 🐾 There’s something so fun about watching a cat go into full hunting mode stalking, pouncing, jumping, and trying to catch it. I especially love wand toys because every cat plays differently. Some are little acrobats, while others prefer to hide behind the couch and wait for the perfect ambush. Interactive play is also a great way for me to bond with the cats I’m caring for and provide them with enrichment while their family is away. 💕

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I’m very patient with timid or anxious cats and always let them set the pace. I never force interaction or pull a cat out of their hiding spot. Instead, I give them space, keep my movements calm, speak softly, and allow them to observe me until they feel comfortable. I pay close attention to body language and use treats, toys, slow blinks, or simply sitting quietly nearby to help build trust. Sometimes the best thing you can do for a nervous cat is just exist peacefully in their space. My rescue and fostering experience has taught me that trust can take time, and even small milestones—coming out of hiding, eating while I’m nearby, sniffing my hand, or eventually asking for pets—are big wins. My priority is always making sure each cat feels safe, respected, and comfortable in their own home.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
