What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have experience doing hourly visits once or twice a day. Some visits are a few hours depending on client's preference. Most of my pet sitting experience is overnight taking care of dogs and cats. Most of my clients have pets that require medication. I like to offer peace of mind that your animal is in good hands. They are safe and will receive a lot of care and attention.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy working with shy and fearful cats. It's very rewarding for me to build trust with an animal and watch them grow! I like working with cats that need medication. I especially love elderly cats and their personalities. I know how important it is that an animal is healthy and provided for while their person is away.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I like to meet with a client and their animals before the first visit. They will often do a walk-through and go through their litter box set up and feeding schedule, any medical or special requirements. It's nice to get to know everyone in advance so they can look forward to their trip!

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am typically though I recommend making arrangements with plenty of advance whether with me or another sitter or boarding facility!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I will give timid and anxious cats plenty of space while also providing treats and reassurance. I find that after a visit or two just that time being in their presence helps them become more comfortable. The most important to me is that they are safe and are eating and using the litter box appropriately. I am happy to provide company on their terms!

I was really appreciative of the attentiveness Jennifer provided to the kitties. The meet and greet went well and since this was my first time having someone I don't know check on the cats it was good to hear about her experience at a rescue. The kitties were calm with her and that was good to see. I would request her help in the future and recommend her.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
