As a mother, grandmother & 12 yr Marine Corps Vet, I've always been concerned with the needs of others, as evident by my lifelong volunteer work, from the Red Cross, MDA, to Civil Air Patrol & more. Additionally, I'm an artist, graphic designer & writer, who grew up around the world, on ranches & farms, rescuing & fostering animals.
I'm an open-minded, motivated & optimistic person, who welcomes opportunities to meet new people. I enjoy traveling & learning. In addition to numerous trade schools, I also achieved my BBA. I'm a strong advocate for volunteer work & giving back. Personal integrity, accountability & empathy for others & animals is of the utmost importance to me.
Since I'm permanently disabled from back injuries, I have a completely... My love affair with cats began with my earliest days in my crib, & has continued throughout my lifetime. While I've loved & cared for animals of all kinds & sizes for over 50 yrs, cats have been the species I've personally owned & cared for continously.

For personal reasons, I'm not comfortable staying overnight in other people's homes, without their presence. However, with that in mind, I am available to visit & care for your precious cats more than once per day, but not in the early morning hours - I'm available anytime after 8 am to midnight.
With respect to distance, since the app promotes by zip code, plz use Google Maps to verify the actual driving distance from CSUN to your home (ie, the Palisades is technically within 15 mi from CSUN, but over 30 mi ea way driving from any direction. Obviously, 60 mi is too far). Therefore, verify your actual driving distance, if you're unsure. Additionally, I've limited reservations with 2 visits per day to 5 miles. If I've sat for you before, or you'd like special consideration, please let me know, as I welcome the opportunity to discuss personal needs with clients.
As to the policy regarding other pets outside Meowtel's policies & protection, I'd consider any request on an individual basis. And, additional requests, like mail, pkgs, trash, plants, etc..., usually aren't a problem.

Plz note, that I almost always visit at least 10+ min beyond the booking time, unless the cat(s) do not want to engage. Unless otherwise requested, I always send pix of food bowls on arrival, both food & water bowls once I've fed, litter boxes, ea cat, & at least 1 video 1+ min long interacting with ea cat, if not a few videos. I also send pix of ea misc request (trash, mail, pkgs, etc...) as completed, & I take all trash with me upon completion of the reservation.

With respect to the pandemic, I've been dbl vaxxed (plus 4 boosters) with the Pfizer vaccine (3/31/21, 4/21/21, 1/11/22, 8/11/22, 11/5/22, 9/12/24), & I'll gladly produce my vaccine record upon request. I'll follow any requested guidelines, in addition to wearing a mask, using anti-bacterial hand sanitizer before, during & after any visit. Everyone's health is of the utmost importance, always.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
During my 55+ yrs, that I've cared for cats continously, I've had the opportunity to administer most all of the usual Rxs prescribed to cats, to include oral, topical & injections (diabetes).
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I truly love spending my day visiting clients & experiencing all the different cats, who usually greet me with love, happiness & curiosity. We have a great time, as cats rarely complain & are very easy to please... Scratches, boxes, food, water, love, treats, toys & lots of attention! 😻💞 What more could anyone ask for? 😊
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
It'd be difficult to pick 1 reservation out of thousands over my 55+ yrs. Some of the best memories are with the adorable litters of kittens 😻😻😻, or the few critical ones, in which there was a plumbing, house, or cat ER, which prompted immediate action. Attention to detail helped to save the day.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
BUMPER - 9 (F) R. Blue/Bengal Mix BABY - 5 (F) Tuxedo AZURE - 15 (M) Himi/Siamese Mix BLACKIE - stray (F), Black, who adopted us & lives on our porch. Of course, we feed her (wet & dry) 🙄, & we bought her a condo 😶, a wool pillow & blanket for warmth, plus a cat tree 😻💞 SISTER - stray (F), Tabby/R. Blue Mix, Bumper's sister, who's afraid of Blackie, but shares in the luxuries. 😆 Sadly, we lost a few in recent yrs: MR. PAWS - 12 (M) Bengal, cancer, 2018 BOO BOO - 22 (M) old age, 2019 GIGI - 2 (F) heart failure, 2023 CHLOE - 16 (F) old age, 2022 MISSY - 26 (F) old age, 2023
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
1) Ask questions & build a relationship. While full disclosure of cameras is best, I ALWAYS assume there's a camera in ALL ROOMS. 2) believe the sitter's reviews. Be specific about needs & expectations, & discuss concerns. ie, many sitters often work with a partner, who drives, parks, gets gas, food & watches for sitter's safety. Only the sitter is authorized to enter a client's home. Assumptions are often inaccurate, so plz ask about any areas of concern. I welcome opportunities to clarify. My personal integrity & lifelong immaculate record is of utmost importance to me. BTW, sitters can often recommend xlnt resources, vets, stores & products, bc they're exposed to many different homes, cats, & needs. Plz ask me anytime, 24/7. If I'm unavailable to sit, I'll refer my favorite Meowtel sitters, who are my main b/u's.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I alwys try for an in-person M&G, bc I feel it's impt for both parties to get a feel & understanding for ea other. I leave a detailed form (my personal form) for clients to fill out & leave on the counter. Upon arrival, I take pix of all docs, & save them in my cloud, so I'll alwys have info, in case of ER, stolen phone, etc... I walk the house, confirm excluded areas (rooms closed), review food routine, litter, equipment, toys, hiding areas. I share an example of my summary per visit, & what to expect (pix, video, etc...). I insist on add'l ph #s, in case ur phone's stolen, dies, etc... & also someone local, ie, plumbing ER, etc... I test our phone comm both ways, explain my routine, how I provide a 3 hr approx windows of time for ETA, plus pkgs, mail, plants, etc... Keys, alarms, codes,
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
1) on arrival, I ensure I see ea cat, & they're good. If a rare cat refuses contact (less than 1%? 2X ever?), I guage activity w/food & litter. 2) on arrival, I take pix/video of ALL cats & docs (save to cloud), & pix of old food bowls. I NEVER give food/treats from outside. 3) B4 leaving, I take pix of all new food, water bowls & litter boxes. 4) give Rxs as directed, & video, if possible. 5) I CAREFULLY open/close doors, assuming cats are ALWYS trying to get out. NO open windows or doors, unless client insists (I'll document). 6) I look everywhere for spit up & vomiting, & take pix & clean up. 7) scan for ants & anything they've accessed, secure items (take pix/video), to avoid choking & illness (ie, boxes of ribbon & candy) while alone. 8) observe poop. If constipated, I'll provide a pix diary for their vet.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Almost alwys, except some Thanksgivings. I can often adjust my schedule to accommodate a client's needs. I inform clients mos in advance, if traveling, so they can LMK their plans, & I can adjust, or I'll refer another Meowtel sitter.
What is your favorite cat toy?
By far, it's the wands with feathers & worms!! I often supply toys, wands, worms, brushes & water filters for regular clients, if they're lacking. I video tape their playtime.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I NEVER chase or force myself onto cats. I coax them & use their natural curiosity to get them engaged. I've been called a shy cat whisperer more than a few times. 😻👍 I reward good behavior & use a firm voice to teach them what not to do.

Tambry was great with my kitties and even my dog! I showed her how to test my diabetic kitty’s blood sugar and give him insulin and she did an amazing first time job with him. She’s given insulin to other cats before but not mine, and every one is a little different. She hadn’t tested glucose before but she was able to do it easily so that my cat would be safe to get his insulin. She communicates everything, and as a cat sitter myself I even learned a few things from her! She also went above and beyond what was expected of her.

Tambry is a fantastic sitter - I cannot recommend her enough! One of my cats is diabetic and requires insulin injections. Tambry wasn't familiar at first but she was a fast learner who took careful notes and even came over extra to practice. Her partner, Robert, had prior experience with insulin so I invited him in to help as well. The two of them were a great duo and I was confident my fur baby would get the best care possible. Tambry and Robert are kind, compassionate, detail oriented and loving people. I knew both my cats and my home would be safe in their hands. I'll definitely be hiring Tambry again in the future!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Northridge cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $34.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Working with T was amazing! She was amazing at communicating everything from how everyone was doing, how everyone was eating, any litter box updates (helpful for our older cat who gets stressed out), and also just providing above and beyond care for them. We also found out last minute that one of our cats needed oral medication and T was so amazing and kind to help us with that. Reservation went flawlessly! Tambry is great at communicating her daily visits, she sent photos and videos. It’s hard leaving my babies but I know they are safe in her care. Would recommend and definitely use again!
