He was born on the side of our house 11 years ago and was a neighborhood feral cat for the first half of his life, gradually getting more and more used to my wife and me, venturing inside to eat (but no touching!), then dashing back out the front door. He only became a fulltime indoor cat a year ago, so he's still somewhat leery of "outsiders." Catarina goes the extra mile to try to connect with him, and it really makes a huge difference. It means so much to us to get her long, detailed updates, along with photos. She is the next best thing to us being there with Prancer."
