I have grown up with cats and remember at a very young age the unconditional love they give. I currently have two cats, one part Maine Coon, Merfy, who is king of the house and quite vocal, he is my shadow. Minnie, well, she is Minnie, who loves her snacks and lounging whether it is in the sun or the bathroom sink.
I adopted Merf and Min from a shelter. Merf loves talking non-stop, sometimes I wonder what he is saying to me, he will sit in front of the tv at bed time. Minnie is Minnie, who has her own chair.

Fun fact: my retirement dream is to run a cat spa/sleep away camp.
I can't imagine life without my cats. Over the years we have had many cat's. Whether your kitty needs head rubs, belly rubs, medication or on a special diet, you can count on me! I have sat for my neighbor's cats while they are on vacation as well as our daughter's dog and cat while she was traveling.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I love cat sitting and have been doing it for over 25 years. I enjoy getting to know other cats and the many different personalities.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love getting to know each kitty that I cat sit for and their different personalities as well as being able to love on them.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite cat sitting was with Pinky, Cinder and Nova. Pinky always greeted me at the front door and would wave hi.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Merf, part Maine Coon is king of the house and loves being in the middle of everything and Minnie, who loves sleeping and getting her snacks.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Always check out their profile. Do they have cats of their own? Are they friendly and enjoying being around cats.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Meet and greet the owner and their cats. I will sit on the floor and wait for them to come to me.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
When entering the home I will open the door slightly to see if the kitties are there waiting. After going into the home, I will lock the door behind me.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I am available most holidays.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toy is cat nip mice and feather sticks.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I will sit on the floor and let them come to me.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

- February 13-19: Presidents Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
