I have a deep love for cats, my two have brought so much joy to my life and I would be so miserable if anything happened to them so I will make sure nothing happens to your fur babies as well... Hello, my name is Kelsea! I have two cats, Jaxx and Mowgli, who are 10 years old and the light of my world. I’ve had them since they were 12 weeks old so I am very familiar with cat care throughout the lifespan. Mowgli had to lose all but 4 teeth, so I understand how to administer various medications and take care of a cat under anesthesia. Jaxx is an overstimulated cat, meaning he is overly sensitive to various things going on around him. He needs to be approached calmly and on his terms, and so that is typically how I approach all fur babies, putting my hand out to let them sniff and wait for them to initiate pets.
I have a deep love for cats, my two have brought so much joy to my life and I would be so miserable if anything happened to them so I will make sure nothing happens to your fur babies as well. I am very meticulous; I will clean up food spillage, throw up spots, litter boxes, and potential accidents on the floor… no one wants to come home to a dirty home. I believe all cats need 1:1 playtime daily, so I will give your cat undivided attention with their favorite toys and pets if they allow. I will spend as much time in your place with them as you would like me to, just let me know what you need!
As far as my personality, I am low-key and friendly. I’ve been told I’m a calming person to be around and a good listener. I prefer nights in, but also enjoy a game night with friends! I do not drink or smoke and would never bring an additional person over to your space.
What sets me apart is I’m also willing to do some light cleaning/errands for you.. I know leaving town can be stressful and you may have things needed to be picked up, forgot to switch laundry, or maybe you’re almost out of cat food and didn’t have time to get to the store.. I will definitely handle that for you! I am also willing to do overnight pet/house sitting. Please feel free to reach out and ask me any other questions you may have!

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
When I arrive at your home, I will check to make sure all doors that should be open are open to ensure your cat isn’t stuck inside a room/closet. I will also double check exterior door locks, and lock the door behind me when I enter. I will check around and make sure no choking hazards have been left behind or ripped from a toy. And of course any house rules/medications needed to be administered will be followed.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am available during most holidays.. I have a thanksgiving dinner in town with friends that I can still stop by with your cat(s) that day, but I will be in town for Christmas and New Years.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I am very patient, and have zero expectations for our interactions. I will not force your cat to get pet or pick them up. I will sit on the floor and talk to them in a calm friendly voice until I peak their curiosity and let them take the lead on how our interactions go. I sometimes will attempt to use favorite toys for an activity sesh without me being very close to them.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Colorado Springs cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
