Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

Recently, I met with a couple for a 1 night pet-sit who had 2 Dachshunds and 1 Mainecoon. They said "the dogs will be all over you, but you'll probably never see the cat until he wants to go out." I came to the house, and that kitty did not leave my side. Snuggled right up to my chest, rubbed all over my face, and slept next to me. The owners were shocked!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Always always always, see how you vibe with them in person, and see how your animals vibe with them! Animals know best an can sense the wrong energy in people, or sitters doing it just for the money.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

When a potential booking comes in, I make sure all dates are good on my end and then propose a meet and greet through the app. Once in person, I have a series of questions I go through pertaining to the health, habits, food, sleeping patterns, vet contact info, past injuries, allergies etc of all the cats or pets in the house. From there, I have them show me exactly anything specific in their house to the cats i.e. their food location, any places cats shouldn't go, the zones where the cats go to be alone and not be social, etc. I reach out a few days before the sit to ensure everything is still the same, and I remain in contact throughout the sit sending loads of pics and always asking any questions that come up instead of assuming.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
