I am a big cat lover and I understand that each cat is unique so I strive to provide personalized care that meets their individual needs. I have volunteered at the Dumb Friends League where I helped care for all kinds of animals and learned a lot about animal care.
Outside of cat sitting, I recently graduated from CU Boulder with a degree in art practices and work at Misaki at the Stanley Marketplace

I have a sweet boy named Leo. Leo is an orange tabby I adopted from the dumb friends league when he was a kitten.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
When working with a new cat parent, I first like to introduce myself and gather basic information about their cat(s) and their specific needs. I then like to meet in person to get to know the owner and the cat and start learning more detailed information about the cat. After this, I like to discuss an emergency plan and know what to do and who to contact in an emergency. Finally, after deciding on dates and times I should check in, I like to send regular updates and photos to the parents to keep them informed and reassured of their cats well-being :)
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
To ensure the safety and security of the cats and home while cat sitting, I make sure to maintain a secure environment, checking that all windows and doors are locked after entering and before leaving. I also make sure that any potentially dangerous items or substances are out of reach of the cat(s). I also monitor the cats for any signs of illness or distress and if any concerns arise, report them to the parent. In the case of emergency, I keep emergency contacts and vet details readily available and am quick to act in an emergency situation.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
When I come across a more anxious cat, I like to give them their space but make sure that they are well fed and their litter box is clean. I like to hang out around them to build some trust but am careful not to invade their personal space. I understand that some cats may be more anxious than others and I work to build trust and provide a safe and healthy environment for them under my care.

Megan went above and beyond to not only take care of our kitties, but also took excellent care of our house. Very communicative, caring, and thoughtful. I hate traveling, but Megan makes it a lot less stressful. My cats usually run from people, but in the first five minutes on her first day, she was holding my cat like a baby. ❤️ 10/10 would highly recommend!

Megan was a fantastic cat sitter! She gave quick, timely updates about my cat each day and was very responsive to requests via chat (e.g., changing the placement of a water dish to encourage my cat to drink more). Even though my cat is very shy and hid from her each time, Megan always went out of her way to take pictures of my cat, usually hiding or running away from her in some silly way, which made my day each time. Everything was neat and tidy when I came back and I'm so happy to have had Megan looking after everything!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Denver cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
