What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I began cat sitting for clients cats in their homes approximately 12 years ago.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Getting to know each cats unique personality and meeting their needs based on that. And of course...PLAYING!!!! (if they're up to it).
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I absolutely love when the kitties want to interact with me! It makes the visit so much more fun and helps to break up the boredom in their day.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
4 magnificent rescue cats call me "Mom". Their names are: Sal, JiJi, Pippa and Thumper.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
To make sure the sitter is able to meet the medical, social and psychological needs of your cat.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
A complimentary Meet and Greet at the clients home is a must! I actively listen to their firkins needs and take notes.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I make sure to strictly follow the instructions of the cat parent. Open communication is critical and I will always notify the cat parent if there arises an unusual situation.
Are you usually available during holidays?
As a freelance Registered Nurse I have the freedom to make my own schedule which allows me to accommodate holiday and last minute requests. Have peace of mind while you’re away
What is your favorite cat toy?
It actually depends on the individual cat. I have some cat clients who love a laser pointer while others more enjoy tactile toys (wand toys).
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I allow them to move at their own pace forcing nothing. I talk to them in gentle tones upon entering their living quarters so they can get used to my voice and oftentimes sit on the floor allowing them to approach me and come up to smell me.

she was solid! took great care of the cats and played with them a bunch. Unfortunately in my experience- didn’t fully take care of the litter box properly, as I had to do a deep clean of it on my return. Otherwise great experience!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Denver cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
