I'm comfortable caring for senior cats and those with special medical needs. One of my own cats required IV treatments during a battle with liver failure, so I understand the importance of patience, careful observation, and following detailed care instructions... Cats have been part of my family for over 40 years, and caring for them is something I truly enjoy. Throughout my life, I've cared for cats of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs, giving me the experience and confidence to provide loving, attentive care while you're away.

Today, I share my home with two wonderful catsTequila and Sammi, who are both over seven years old. Tequila is mostly deaf, so I have firsthand experience adapting to a cat with hearing loss and understanding that every cat has unique needs and communicates differently.
As a lifelong cat lover, I respect that every cat has its own personality and routine. What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
When working with a new cat owner, I like to learn as much as I can about their cat before the first visit. I ask about the cat's personality, favorite activities, routines, and what helps them feel comfortable. I also make sure I understand any special needs, such as medications, dietary requirements, mobility issues, or other daily care instructions. Having this information in advance allows me to provide care that matches the cat's normal routine, reduces stress, and helps both the cat and owner feel confident and at ease.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toy isn't always a cat's favorite! I've found that some of the best "toys" aren't even store-bought. A crumpled piece of paper, a piece of string (with supervision), or even an empty cardboard box can keep a cat entertained for a long time. Laser light beams can also be a lot of fun for many cats, but I like to end the play session by letting them catch a real toy or treat so they don't get frustrated. Every cat has their own preferences, so it's always fun to see what they choose.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I have a very shy cat at home, and one of my friends does too. In my experience, it's best to approach shy or anxious cats with patience and let them set the pace. Sometimes offering a treat helps build trust, but other times the best thing you can do is sit quietly, speak softly, and simply let the cat be. Every cat is different, and giving them the time and space to feel safe often goes a long way.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
