Hi, I’m Patrick — also known as Patrick Catrick! 🐱 During the week I work as a personal assistant, and on weekends I’m a security guard. I’m also a college student pursuing a career in nursing, but no matter how busy life gets, I always make time to care for animals because it’s something I truly love and find deeply satisfying.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting for about 3 years, caring for cats of all ages and personalities. I also have experience taking care of other pets like dogs and birds, which has taught me to be attentive, patient, and adaptable to different needs.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I truly enjoy the bond that forms with each cat. Every kitty has their own unique personality, and I love earning their trust—whether that’s through playtime, cuddles, or just keeping them company. It’s very rewarding and satisfying to me.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
One of my favorite reservations was caring for a shy cat who rarely came out around strangers. With patience and gentle care, the cat slowly warmed up to me and started greeting me at the door each visit. It was such a special moment.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! I currently have one sweet cat named Lady. She’s a big part of my life and helps me understand just how important it is to give every kitty the same love and care they get at home.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
When choosing a cat sitter, look for someone who is dependable, communicative, and genuinely loves animals. A great sitter should respect your cat’s routine, provide updates with photos or notes, and adapt to your kitty’s unique personality. Most importantly, choose someone who makes both you and your cat feel safe and comfortable—that peace of mind is priceless.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I start with a meet-and-greet to learn about your cat’s personality, routine, and any special needs. I ask about feeding, playtime, and health details so I can follow your instructions closely. During visits, I provide updates with photos and notes to keep you connected and reassured.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I make sure doors and windows are secured, follow all instructions carefully, and double-check food, water, and litter at each visit. With my background as a security guard, I’m extra attentive to safety and keeping your home and cat secure.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I’m usually available during holidays and understand how important it is to have reliable care at that time. Since holidays can book quickly, I recommend scheduling in advance to secure your spot.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I give timid or anxious cats plenty of space and let them approach me at their own pace. I use calm movements, a gentle voice, and keep their routine consistent. Patience and respect always help them feel safe and comfortable.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Stamford cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $37.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!

I had such a wonderful experience with Patrick! He watched our kitten, Choko, while we were away for an extended trip. I was very nervous to leave Choko alone, as this would be his first time alone in the house and we were going to be gone for so long. But my stress went away thanks to Patrick, who kept in constant communication and sent photos and videos from every visit, as well as updates on his eating. I will definitely be requesting his services again the next time we are away.

Patrick is an excellent pet sitter. As well as keeping them fed and watered and litter box clean, he took the time to play with them. My cats are shy and prone to hiding from visitors to the house but he coaxed them out and played with them and got them comfortable with him. he sent videos of my girl cat purring her head off being petted!
