What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

Well, of course I’ve raised my own babies. Salem (11 years) and Spryte (5 months). I have been cat sitting for other wonderful cat moms and cat dads for about 4 years now. My experience has always been great thus far. I get to spend time with cute cattos while their parents get things done or vacation or work, so many scenarios. The outcome is always the same though, new kitty friends!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

The best advice I can give is one word: communication. Cat mommies and daddies have to make sure to communicate with their sitter, as the sitter should as well. This keeps everyone mindful of the other parties time and work. It also keeps everyone’s expectations on the same page.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I’ve sat for a couple shy kitties before. What has worked best for me is simply continuing their normal routine and allowing them to feel safe in their own space. Usually once I complete the main tasks (food/water, litter), while we are getting to know each other I just calmly remain in their space until they are comfortable with me as well. It helps to know if they like any certain toys, treats, pets, etc.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
