Yes! Nyx (Black Boy Cat) and Emberly (Orange Tabby Girl Cat). Nyx funny enough stands for the Greek Goddess of night-I named him that because I was told by the shelter when he was a kitten that he was a girl. The name stuck nonetheless 😆
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Look for someone who genuinely understands and respects cats’ unique personalities. Make sure the sitter takes the time to build trust with your cat and has experience handling a variety of feline temperaments. Ask about their routine for feeding, playtime, and care to ensure it aligns with your cat’s needs. It’s also important that the sitter communicates well, providing updates and being responsive if any issues arise.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
To ensure the safety and security of both the cats and the home while I’m cat sitting, I prioritize creating a calm, consistent environment. I make sure doors and windows are securely closed to prevent any escapes, and I’m mindful of any potential hazards around the house, like cords or plants. I follow any specific instructions from the owner closely, including feeding schedules, litter box cleaning, and any medication routines. For added security, I maintain clear communication with the owner, sending regular updates and photos, so they’re always informed. If anything seems out of the ordinary, I contact the owner immediately to discuss the best course of action.

I highly recommend Sam! She took amazing care of my cats and kittens and was incredibly accommodating when I had a last-minute schedule change. Her communication was prompt and reassuring, and I always felt confident that my babies were in great hands. I came home to a happy, healthy group of cats — truly couldn’t ask for better care. Sam was fantastic! I was a little nervous to leave the cats with a stranger - she made me feel so comfortable and took amazing care of them! One cat has special dietary needs which she was able to accommodate with no problems. She had great questions to make sure she knew everything about the house/cats, and gave great updates with photos. One of the cats is very shy, and Sam must be a kitty whisperer because she saw her at each of the visits, which is unheard of for strangers! We will definitely be using Sam again, and would definitely recommend her services!

Sam watched my kitty while I was gone for the weekend and she did an amazing job! She connected immediately with my little love whom can be very shy at first! She was so friendly and willing to help with whatever we needed in order to make our time away from Claire manageable. We will definitely be using her in the future!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Brandon cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

My cats are my family. I don’t trust them to just anyone. I do trust them completely in the hands of Sam. I travel for work a lot and Sam always steps up and takes care of the cats. I have never doubted the health and safety of the cats when she’s there. And she truly does spend time and loves them as well. They are happy when I come home but they clearly have a special bond with Sam as well.
