I am a credentialed and educated veterinary technician (RVT & CVT) with 6 years of professional experience along with 20+ years of general pet handling/watching experience.
I am registered with the State of Florida and Colorado for my licensure and have completed hours of continued education to become certified in feline CFVP (Cat Friendly Veterinary Professional) and Fear Free handling to allow less stress for your fur babies while at the Vet or during stressful situations-such as their human being away!

I have been around cats my entire life and I can proudly and confidently say I have yet to be bitten or scratched by any cat other than my own little special boy (he's an overstimulated single kitten syndrome kitty! That I definitely over annoy sometimes lol) Despite me handling them in stressful/critical situations for a living, as I like to be their calm presence in their terrifying storm.
I like to call myself the feral cat wrangler as almost every time there is a "spicy" patient at the hospital, I'm the only one who is typically able to handle them as most if not always, our feline friends are just really misunderstood :(

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
4! Pyro- 8yr old MN DLH Orange Tabby who's my special feral flordia boy who I got in college when I moved into my first apartment Geralt (we all him Goopy)- 5yr old MN DLH Orange Tabby I rescued from euthanasia and have since gotten his entropion corrected 3 times (: Legolas- 5yr old DLH MN Buff Tabby- he kinda chose me at the shelter, I was the only one who he allowed to handle him- he's also my separation anxiety baby who is on fluoxetine. Marceline- 2yr FS DSH White w/ Black spots- our only girl! I took her in as a frail 3 week old malnourished, sick kitten, watched her recover and just had to bring her home to be forever healed.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Hire someone who doesn't just like/love cats, ensure who you are entrusting your babies with has adequate experience in caring for Felines and understand the risks, toxins, illnesses and diseases that are common for cats to develop just because their person is gone. Examples(not eating, not drinking, inappropriate urination, straining to urinate or defecate, rapid breathing, vomiting vs regurgitation, sudden loss of hind limb function)
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I like to know the typical schedule with their cats is like, are they home often? Away? Are they used to them being gone for long periods of time? Are there any friends or family that have access to the home? Emergency contacts and where carriers are located if needed.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Mostly! The only holiday I tend to be busy around is Halloween, other than that all other holidays I am usual open and available.
What is your favorite cat toy?
I personally love the interactive toys for my own, but whatever your cat prefers and loves will be what I will gravitate to for them!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I let them come to me on their own terms. I will acknowledge them, talk to them in a soft tone and make slow movements around them but I won't approach them so they get comfortable around me to know I will not harm them. Once they start showing interest I will bring out their favorite toy or offer their favorite treat to gain their trust 100% (:

Tricia was amazing! It was my first time ever using an app for the care of my kitties and I was very skeptical but the second I met Tricia I felt that they would be in good hands. She gave them so much love and attention and cared for them exactly like how I would and even figured out both of there weird quirks right away! she sent updates and pictures daily which really helped the nerves of being away. She also helped us tremendously by noticing our water was off and got ahold of me right away. upon her leaving our house she found where our pipe had broke outside and took pictures and turned off the water main to the house, we never asked her to do this but she took the time out of her day & we were so grateful that she cared enough to do so and catch the problem early on! when we got home she had left everything better than the way we left it and made sure everything was clean for an easy transition back home and for all of that we are forever grateful and will definitely see her soon for our next travels! Thank you so much tricia, our grumpy grannies will love to have you back soon!

She watched our slightly-bratty cats for 5 days and made sure to send multiple pictures and check in each day, all while graciously cleaning up their messes (of which there were many). AND… most impressively, she made a cat-proof box for the automatic feeder! I will absolutely rebook Tricia next time we go out of town.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Clearwater cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
