Whether your cat's a couch potato or super active, I’m happy to spend time with them individually or in groups.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
Aw, my favorite cat sitting reservation was an overnight house sit. One of the cats I was taking care of (Henry) was so shy and scared of humans who weren't his owners. I wouldn't see him at all for most of the day (he would often hide away and nap). But the first evening I slept over, he surprised me by hopping into my bed and sniffing me. He pushed his face against my hand and kept asking for pets. He started to come out more during the day and would rush over to me when I called to him. He ended up being the most affectionate kitty.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I'm always keeping an eye on the cats I pet sit. Of course, they'll roam freely throughout the house but I still make sure to physically check up on them even if they're upstairs or in the next room. If the cat is not an outside cat, I make sure they stay inside and don't escape. I do not allow other animals or humans (besides myself) inside the home. For safety reasons, I will not answer any unexpected knocks or visitors at the door.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I always, always, always take it at the cat's pace - I don't try to force the cat to receive my pets or to be around me. I allow these kitties a lot of time and space to get used to me and to hear my voice. I let them sniff me or my belongings (like sunglasses) so they know my scent. I'm also careful not to be super loud or move too quickly to avoid scaring them. Often, after some time smelling you and getting used to you, these shy babies are the biggest cuddlebugs.

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Miami cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
