Over... Have I mentioned how much I love cats?! No?! Well … I just love cats … growing up I had both cats and dogs … when I was all grown up I had both dogs and cats … when our black Lab, Zoe, passed away at 16 … I began working at a veterinarian office … came to work one day and there was a box of kittens at the front door … that was it for me … I bottle fed the four one day old babies … I had three rescue cats already … what was four more?!
Over the last twenty years I’ve bottle fed more than one hundred neonatal kittens for Clay County Animal Services (CCAS), SAFE Animal Shelter and from being tagged in posts on Facebook … I had several that ended up being Special Needs and just weren’t getting adopted … so eventually I brought them home to give them the love and life they deserve …
I started cat sitting when a neighbor was begging for help with her cats … her regular sitter backed out on her at literally the last minute … after that it became word of mouth online … and there’s been no looking back … I enjoy cat sitting and all the fur kids I meet and befriend

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Meet and Greets are really an essential element of starting to build solid trusting lasting relationships with the cats and their servants … I mean … parents … I’d, personally, make sure they have cats of their own … and I’d ask them simple questions to check on their “cat knowledge” … Just go with your gut … watch how they interact with the cats … WATCH YOUR CAT … they know!!!
Are you usually available during holidays?
Absolutely!! With having so many fur kids myself we never go away on holidays … our children and grandkids live in Tallahassee and Panama City Beach …

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving

- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Middleburg cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $23.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

I am extremely picky with the care of my cats. Jamie is very professional, punctual, responsible and abides by all my instructions totally. She knows when I am away I miss them and sends me photos and answers my calls/texts promptly. She always gives every one of my cats attention and love.

Jamie has been cat sitting for me for years whether its for a day I am working real late (giving them dinner) or away for a week. When you text her, she always responds as soon as she can. She has a key to my house and is responsible and makes sure she locks it back up when she leaves. My cats (all of them inside and out) love her.
