Hello there! I'm Stephanie, your local purr-fessional feline concierge. While I’m more than happy to be your cat's humble, obedient servant, I also bring something a little extra to the table: eight years of professional veterinary technician experience, including heavy-duty background in emergency medicine.
Living on a farm with three acres of room to roam and sharing my home with my own beloved cats (like Liz and Gypsy!), my life has always revolved around animals. Because of my veterinary background, I don't just feed and cuddle—I speak fluent meow, understand subtle body language, and have the sharp clinical eye needed to notice if a kitty is feeling a little off.
Whether your cat needs a gentle touch for daily medication administration, specialized senior care, or just an expert professional to wield the laser pointer and dish out top-tier head scratches, your furry family members are getting ICU-level love and attention while you're away.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

With over a decade of dedicated pet-sitting experience spanning more than 10 years, combined with eight years working as a veterinary technician—including specialized roles as an overnight lead vet tech and emergency department supervisor—I bring an unmatched level of professional expertise to animal care. This extensive background means I am fully equipped to handle everything from routine daily visits and specialized medication administration to critical medical monitoring, ensuring that every pet receives expert, compassionate, and attentive care in the comfort of their own home.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Honestly, it’s the immediate, humbling demotion from "professional pet care provider" to humble servant to royalty. One minute you’re walking in with all the gear, and the next you’re standing completely frozen in the middle of a room because a tiny, judgmental apex predator has decided your lap is now legally classified as a permanent sleeping zone. You aren't allowed to move, you aren't allowed to cough, and god forbid your phone is out of reach. You are simply furniture with a heartbeat. And you know what? I wouldn't have it any other way. šŸ‘‘šŸ¾

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Finding someone to look after your feline family members can be stressful. Cats are sensitive creatures of habit who usually prefer staying in their own territory, which means finding the right person is crucial. As someone who has spent years in the veterinary and pet care world, here are the top things you should look for when hiring a cat sitter: 1. Look for Feline-Specific Experience Not all pet sitters speak "cat." Dogs are very transparent, but cats hide stress, illness, and pain exceptionally well. Look for a sitter who truly understands subtle feline body language. Bonus points if they have a veterinary background or professional animal care experience—they’ll spot subtle red flags (like a slight change in litter box habits or a hint of lethargy) long before it becomes an emergency. 2. Prioritize Low-Stress, Fear-Free Handling Cats don’t respond well to loud voices, rushing, or forced affection. A great cat sitter knows how to

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
