While I do love books, I am not the stereotype of a quiet, bookish person, but rather, I have customer service skil... I have been a cat parent for 20+ years. Currently I have 3 cats, one of which has health issues. I have experience injecting insulin, testing blood glucose, and administering pills and subQ fluids.
I also work in the PBC Library System which means I have passed a background check. While I do love books, I am not the stereotype of a quiet, bookish person, but rather, I have customer service skills. I'm not afraid or too shy to be an advocate for your cat should anything happen while you are away.
I like to spend time with the cats I cat-sit and am happy to play with them or give them quality time if that's what they want. I want you to feel confident your cat is safe and happy; I am happy to spend time discussing your cat's needs and to meet your cat prior to you heading out of town.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I defer to the client regarding pet and home safety. I follow any instructions left by the client. We would talk ahead of time about any potential hazards in the home for your cat as well as steps you would want to take in an emergency. I would also be careful around anything potentially hazardous in the home (such as a stove) and not discuss or post that you are my client with people I know and online.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I am usually available and happy to sit during all holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and bank or government holidays.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I defer to what the client wants. It's better not to push a scared cat to interact, and I can determine a lot about how a cat is doing by whether they are eating and the state of their litterbox. However, I'm happy to put in the time to make a timid cat feel more comfortable. Sitting quietly in a space or offering a favorite treat can be helpful. If a cat really is too shy to show their face I'm also happy to take the time to find a hiding spot and determine for sure they are ok.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
