When I'm caring for your kitty, I pay close attention to their body language and mood. Iāve sat some cats who just want to curl up in your lap, some who love to play, and some who just want to hang out nearby on their own terms... Hi, Iām Kristin! Cats have had my heart my entire life. I love everything about them, especially their big little personalities and the way each one tells you exactly what they want! Iām a proud cat mom to a sassy 16-year-old orange tabby named Riley who I adopted at just 12 weeks old.
When I'm caring for your kitty, I pay close attention to their body language and mood. Iāve sat some cats who just want to curl up in your lap, some who love to play, and some who just want to hang out nearby on their own terms. I genuinely love all of it! People have always told me I have a calming, nurturing presence with animals, and I can usually settle a nervous cat pretty quickly, whether they're missing you or just getting used to someone new in the house.
Outside of sitting, I volunteer at the Cat Town shelter here in Manatee County, where I've cared for everyone from 6-week-old kittens to seniors over 16. I've also looked after friends' and family's cats for many years.
I'm based in Palmetto (34221) and happy to travel up to about 20 minutes out. I'd love to meet you and your kitty and become a regular part of your catās routine!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I've cared for cats my whole life and have been the go-to sitter for friends' and family's kitties for years, from playful young ones to gentle seniors. On top of that, I volunteer at Cat Town, our local shelter, where I work hands-on with cats of every age and temperament, from tiny 6-week-old kittens to seniors over 16. So while I'm new to Meowtel, caring for cats is completely second nature to me.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I like to start with a meet and greet so I can get to know you and your cat before you leave. I'll take detailed notes on your kitty's routine, their likes and dislikes, feeding and litter details, and anything special I should know. That way, by the time you head out, your cat already has a familiar face around and I know exactly how to keep their days feeling normal!
Are you usually available during holidays?
For the most part, yes. I stay local nearly all year, so I'm available for holidays and weekends with a little advance notice. The one exception is around Christmas, when I'm usually out of town, but any other time of year I'm happy to help, especially when you can book ahead.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
