I have lived with at least one cat for almost twenty years. My baby boy Oliver aka my son, that is what I call him, is a six year old short hair who was adopted here in Tallahassee! I have experience playing, feeding, and cuddling with all sorts of cats. I am also comfortable with the dirty work, litter, vomit, and accidents too!

When I was in college I helped take care of three newborn kittens whose mom rejected them. As a result, I have bottle fed, stimulated bathroom movements, and monitored tiny kittens.
If you book with me I make sure to follow all of your cat's rules, and guidelines. Additionally, I insist on being reachable by text for the entirety of the time. I do emergency check ins if needed, and prefer to stay to give your cat attention, playtime, and a presence in your absence in twenty minute to one hour, or more, sessions if desired.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have one handsome boy named Oliver. He is a registered ESA and I know how important all cats are to their family. I believe all cats deserve the best and treat them like I would want a sitter to treat mine.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! I only alternate traveling for Christmases. I typically stay in Tallahassee for every holiday because I know how stressful finding a sitter during the holidays can be and I want to set people's minds at ease.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I am patient with cats that are timid and anxious. I prefer to let them come to me and try not to crowd them. I assess how their mood is and what their comfort level might be. I have had success using treats or toys to coax cats out of hiding spaces and earn their trust. I also believe that YOU know your cat best and ask about their boundaries and what you think would be successful. My cat is anxious around new people and takes a while to come say hello. Sometimes sitting in the living room and showing them that you are there if they need it can help ease cats anxieties.

Madeleine was PURRFECT! I really can't say enough about how she treated my fur babies (all 5 of them), We have a tricky situation where we have to separate our kitties in different rooms when we are away to prevent issues. She provided care to them in their different areas, thus making it double duty and double scooping, From the first meeting, it felt like she had known our cats forever and they warmed up to her real quick as well. She called them all by name and gave each one dedicated play time. Her communications, photos, and videos were plentiful. She went above and beyond, even returning to the house quickly when I contacted her after receiving an alert from my alarm sensor. When we finally got home, I think I overheard my kitties complain that it was us and not her! We will most definitely be calling for her again real soon.

This is my 2nd time booking Madeleine. She is fabulous with my kitties. She crawls down on the floor to lure them out from under the couch and encourages them to play. I am so happy to have found her!

Madeleine is a wonderful cat-sitter who truly loves and cares for the pets she looks after. My girl requires three types of medications administered in three different ways at different times throughout the day — transdermal, oral, and via food — and Maddy handled the entire routine with ease and confidence, without any unnecessary stress for my cat. That alone is no small feat. She wasn't afraid to ask questions or clarify details upfront, which honestly made me feel so much better about leaving. Maddy has a cat herself, so she understands the anxiety of leaving your baby in the care of someone else. Maddy kept me updated the whole time with cute pictures, followed every one of the extremely detailed instructions I left, and when I got home Kitten was happy, the space was clean, and everything was just as I'd left it. You can tell she genuinely cares about the animals she's with, not just about getting the job done. I know for a fact that Kitten was treated like the little queen she believes she is. I couldn't recommend Maddy more. If you need someone reliable, communicative, and who will treat your pet like their own, Madeleine is your person.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Tallahassee cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $21.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
