I have always been a cat-lover since I was a little girl asking Santa for my first black and white kitty that I named "Oreo". I currently have one cat named “Opal” and I love her to bits. She is a very spoiled, picky princess type cat who demands royal treatment – and I promise to pamper your cats with the same love and commitment as I do for my own fur baby!
I am great with animals and have over 25 years of experience owning and caring for cats, dogs, horses, guinea pigs, rabbits, fish and other various pets and farm animals. I have been pet and home sitting for my family, friends, and neighbors for many years.

I have experience hand-raising kittens, caring for sick and elderly cats, as well as cats with FHV. I am comfortable administering ointments, eye/ear drops, oral medications, etc.
I take great pride in offering a range of services designed to keep your beloved pet happy and healthy while you are away providing at-home sanctuary. Whether it's meal time, play time, or simply a soothing lap to curl up on, I will always be attuned to your cat's unique preferences and needs and they will receive the personalized attention they deserve.
My visits include cleaning and filling food and water dishes, maintaining litter boxes, sweeping, taking out the trash, bringing in your mail and packages if you desire, and tons of loving and playtime with your cat(s).
I will also send you daily text message updates which will include at *least* one photo and video.
I know how stressful it can be to leave my cat while travelling and I am honored to be able to provide you with peace of mind by providing love and care for your unique and beautiful feline family members while you are away.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been pet sitting for friends and family since I was old enough to drive! One day I hope to have a beautiful piece of land to build a sanctuary for senior cats, like a feline retirement village.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love getting to know each kittie's individual personality and watching them come out of their shell as they get to know me.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I have a favorite part of every reservation, but it never fails to make my day and warm my heart when I can "kitty whisperer" a shy fur baby into being my friend with treats, play, and friendly calm body language.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a spoiled fur princess named Opal and I love her to bits! She is a 6 year old semi-long haired white cat with one green eye and one blue.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Trust your gut, the intuition is never wrong! Check reviews and references and pick the sitter who’s profile best aligns with your needs.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I have a short but comprehensive list of questions to get to know the cat and their parents that I go over during our meet and greet (typically on a day the week leading up to your reservation so your fur babies can easily remember me). I like to come over at a normal feeding time to observe your routine with your cat so they can learn to associate me with food, play, and comfort.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Absolutely! I work part time and have a flexible schedule to fit you and your kitty’s needs.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Long teaser wands, tunnels, balltrack toys, and of course laser pointers! Really any toys that are the kitties most favorite and gets them excited.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Although there are some kitties out there that prefer to hide rather than say hello no matter how many treats or toys they are bribed with - I have been told that I am a "kitty whisperer" with a lot of shy kitties! I use a combinaton of my relaxed, peaceful energy and teaching the kitty to associate me with fun things like treats and play. Sometimes I’ll leave a scarf or jacket between visits so the kitty can get used to my scent which seems to help a lot. I also find that sitting quietly in the middle of their favorite room to play and giving them space and some friendly “slow blinks”, then playing with their favorite toys in a way that invites them to join is a good way to show that I am a friend and nothing to be afraid of.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Thonotosassa cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
