I’m an animal person by nature! All my life, I’ve had all types of pets, including cats of course. Sadly, my orange big fluffy passed away - so I’ve been filling the void by watching and taking care of the cats in my condo building and surrounding downtown area - and... Hi! My name is Jeannie. I live in downtown West Palm Bch and would be honored to care for and love your fur babies while you are away at the office for the day or traveling the world.
I’m an animal person by nature! All my life, I’ve had all types of pets, including cats of course. Sadly, my orange big fluffy passed away - so I’ve been filling the void by watching and taking care of the cats in my condo building and surrounding downtown area - and I love it!
In my condo building, I regularly care for a handsome independent guy when his mom travels for 1-2 weeks at a time. She says she’s never seen him be so affectionate with anyone else outside the family.
Plus, I take care of sweet kitties in the downtown WPB area & Palm Beach Island. I love caring and playing with them and giving their parents the peace of mind that their fur babies are happy and comfortable while they are enjoying their time away.
I send daily updates with pictures, feed, treats, playtime, brush, clean litter boxes, medication admin, water plants, mail/deliveries - whatever you need just ask.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
Everywhere I’ve lived, I’ve watched the neighbor’s cats. Overall, I’ve been watching cats for at least 15 years. In downtown West Palm Beach, I’ve been watching cats for 3 years.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love getting to know each kitty. It always amazes me how they each have their own unique personality. They are so smart and usually warm right up when they know I have opposable thumbs and can open the wet food can. Also the personal challenge of getting the shyest kitties to love me. It always amazes the family!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Trust your cat and your own instincts. If something doesn’t feel right or makes you uncomfortable - trust your gut and choose someone else.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I am typically available over the holidays. My family is located in the South Florida area and we tend to stay local during the holidays.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I always sit or lie on the floor and just talk to them even if they act like they aren’t interested they are listening and watching my actions. Its about building trust and having them realize that I’m not a threat. Sometimes we’ll chit chat about our day and other times we just sit or lie there relaxing together. Whatever makes them the most comfortable.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

West Palm Beach cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
