I’m a lifelong cat lover with a multi-cat household of my own, so I truly understand that every cat has their own personality, boundaries, and routines. I’ve cared for everything from energetic younger cats to seniors who need a little extra patience and comfort.
When I visit, I focus on keeping your cat’s environment calm and familiar—whether that means playtime, quiet companionship, or just making sure food, water, and litter are exactly how they like it. I’m especially good with shy or anxious cats and never rush interactions.
I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets, so I’ll always keep you updated with messages and photos so you can relax while you’re away. I treat every cat like they’re my own.

Learn More About Sam

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been caring for cats for most of my life, both my own and for others. I currently have a multi-cat household, so I’m very used to managing different personalities, routines, and needs all at once. Over the years I’ve cared for kittens, adults, and seniors, including cats that need a little extra patience or special attention. Cat sitting for me isn’t just checking boxes—it’s about making sure each cat feels safe, comfortable, and understood while their person is away. I’m very detail-oriented and always make sure feeding, litter, and routines stay consistent so cats feel as comfortable as possible while their owners are away.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes, I do—and they’re a big part of why I love doing this. I have several cats with very different personalities, so I’m used to everything from super social cats to more independent or shy ones. My crew includes Bella, Vanellope (VP), Artemis, Lucifur, Grayson, Chunk, and Starfloof. Each of them has taught me something different about cat behavior, boundaries, and how to build trust on their terms. Having my own cats makes me very aware of how important it is to leave them in good hands—and I bring that same care to every home I visit.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I take a very calm, patient approach and let the cat set the pace. I never force interaction—instead, I focus on creating a quiet, safe presence so they can get comfortable on their own terms. Sometimes that means just sitting nearby, speaking softly, or sticking closely to their normal routine so nothing feels overwhelming. I pay attention to body language and adjust based on what the cat is telling me. In my experience, even the shyest cats will start to open up when they feel respected and safe—and I take that trust seriously.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Augusta cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $23.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
