Because I work from home and have a flexible schedule, your cat isn't going to be sitting alone for six hours between visits... My name is Lindsey, and I share my home with three cats who couldn't be more different. Tchalla is a big, fluffy black cat who will absolutely judge you before deciding you're worth his time. Frosty and Blizzard are rambunctious kittens who are still learning. I've seen just about every cat personality there is and have always shared my home with cats, and I love all of them.
Because I work from home and have a flexible schedule, your cat isn't going to be sitting alone for six hours between visits. I love cats, including the ones who hide under the bed the whole first visit and pretend you don't exist.
I take routines seriously, feeding times, favorite spots, the weird little things that make your cat feel safe. If your cat needs medication or has a special diet, I'm comfortable with that. If your cat is shy or anxious, I'm not going to force anything. Some cats just need someone to sit nearby and mind their own business for a while, and I can do that.
You'll get updates and photos while you're gone.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Look for someone who actually loves cats and cares for their well being and individual needs, and has experience keeping them as pets.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Always make sure cats are away from the door when going in and out. Ensure doors are locked and secure and the cat isn't locked in a room before leaving.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Very gentle and slow movements and quiet voice. Bring out their favorite treats if they have one to build trust. Never force anything. I am happy just feeding and cleaning the litter box if the kitty isn't interested in affection.

We hired Lindsey for a week at our home and honestly she was awesome. I got pictures of my cats and some updates which put me at ease so I could have fun on my vacation without worry. The litters, food and water were all taken care of with some treats given daily. It was nice to come home and not have to clean up messes or jump right in to dirty litter boxes. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
