All of my cats came with different challenges, behavioral and medical, that required me to learn about cat behavior and health beyond the average cat lover. I have years of experience in administering different types of medications, following special dietary needs, learning nuances of cat behavior, coming up with new cat enrichment, helping with hygiene, and handling emergencies. My best friend is also a small animal veterinarian with her own cat and I have learned so much from her!
I understand the importance of that one special toy, the need for a perfectly clean litter box, or constant access to a cardboard box. We are our cats lives and I know how important it is to provide them with all the comfort, safety, and love possible... I’m the cat mom who lets be real always wants more cats but my girls don’t want more siblings so let me bring the love and care I provide them to yours! What you can expect from me:
-Learning how your cat prefers to be cared for on their terms. Maybe your cat wants endless cuddles or maybe it really just like to hang out in the same room rather than be pet, I get it!
-Following your cats normal routine.
-Always checking in on litter boxes use and cleanliness.
-Adhering to dietary requirements including specialty foods, mixtures of dry and wet, and the use of food puzzles (p.s one of my cats is brilliant when it comes to food and I have been through countless food puzzles at this point)
-Proving play time and enrichment! This may look like playing with their favorite toy, hiding treats to encourage hunting, or filling up the bird feeder. I can also bring over some new toys to try out if you would like them to get some new play time in!
-Taking care of water dishes including filling them up and cleaning them.
-High quality communication with you!
-Caring for your cats as if they’re my own!
-Water plants, collect mail, etc.

Some extra insight into how I love my cats: my photos are 90% them, I can swap cat stories for days, I craft for them creating new toys or beds, I’m building a expansive cat wall in my home, I’m deeply invested in bringing birds to our yard for them, I’ve harness and leash trained the one that loves to go outside just to eat bugs, the variety of toys and treats is honestly unreal, I always peruse the cat aisle anyway, and the love I share with others shows because I’ve converted my whole family to be cat people!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I enjoy getting to interact with all different cats. I love getting to know all their different personalities and seeing what their favorites are. I especially love the weird quirks a cat might have. But ultimately, the best feeling I can have is when a pet chooses you and knows you are safe. Having a timid cat head bonk you for the first time or having a cat show you its favorite toy - the feeling is closely unmatched in this life.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I currently have two cats: Weeza and Elphie! They think they’re both different from other girls but they’re both on meds and very picky so is it that different? Weeza is wildly curious but simultaneously anxious which honestly, relatable. She loves food, talks to me all day, demands cuddles with a blanket only, and brings toys as prey every night. Never leave sticks of butter or the plastic wrap from takeout silverware unattended around her. She’s all white, very adorable, and knows it. Elphie has always been a grandma cat who prefers sleep. She is customs in this house and all packages must pass a sniff test. She loves to bird watch and has serious trust issues with the squirrels. She knows her boundaries and only wants pets on her terms which is usually inconvenient. Everyone wants her love since she’s so fluffy but not all can have it.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I have many years of practice with timid and anxious cats. What I’ve largely learned is to follow their lead and become someone they know what to expect from. I approach timid and anxious cats slowly and quietly. I do not force myself onto them. I respect their space and let them make their way over to me. I will use some tactics to spark their interest in me. For instance, some cats have a special treat or toy. Or it could be something very random like one of my cats whose kryptonite is the lint roller.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Smyrna cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
