What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Getting to spend time with furry friends. Also giving other fellow animal owners the peace of mind i seek whenever I need to leave my babies under another's care for travel needs.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have 4 cats all are foster fails, 5 if you count my NM senior. The oldest maui baby is Oliver rukus, Olli for short, he's a Russian blue with 1 eye. He had a severe URI causing damage to his eye that needed to be surgically removed. Next up is kapari my brown tabby baby. she was a ringworm and URI kitten (fun fact my mom adopted her sister laxmoe). Then we have Bao Bao he's another one eyed baby due to severe URI and he still has some chronic symptoms. He's our fluffy white and orange tabby. The youngest is my little fiesta butt head blooregard blo blo for short. Not your typically orange tabby as he has a rare genetic condition that causes his blood to be more of a blue/purple color creating lower oxygen flow. My senior in NM is Roxas he lives with my parents.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Timid shy cats are actually some of my personal favorites to work with. There's nothing more rewarding then winning the heart of these guys. Oliver and kapari are also very timid babies. I always fall back on my fear free training to go at the kitties pace and respecting their space. Even if that means pretending I don't see them while I fill their food ect. If interaction is needed for meds etc I always do a slow side approach offering gentle chin scratches and sniffs 1st then gently will wrap a blanket or towel around them to gain control then gently move them into my lap so medications can be administered accordingly. Even if this takes multiple attempts I will just let then settle, try again until we succeed through the process together who doesn't think meds are scary? I dont blame them so i work with them.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
