Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have 2 cats. My oldest is Mia and she is a sweetie once you get to know her. She is particular about her boundaries and will tell you if you cross them. She is 11 years old and I adopted her when she was 1 years old. My other cat is Milo. Milo loves attention and is always by my side. He never out grew his kitten phase and is very playful. I adopted him when he was 7 months old and he is now 6 years old.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I always start by setting up a meet and greet to go over care details. This is your opportunity to ask me questions and make sure you feel comfortable with me taking care of your cat(s). It’s also a good opportunity for me to meet your cat and go over what you are wanting done while you are gone. As we go over things, I’ll ask questions on details. I have a list of things I need to know so I’ll ask anything that I feel was missed.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I always ask about hiding spots when meeting with you. I find your cat and spend time in their general area. I watch body language to make sure they are not too stressed while staying close enough that they can sniff me and watch me. I will quietly talk to them and/or play relaxing music for cats. I let them approach when they’re ready.

Katie is our cats' favorite pet sitter. This is a huge vote of confidence from a cat who generally distrusts outsiders and a cat who needs to take pills twice a day. Katie has taken care of our cats for us for the last year, and having her take care of our cats gives us great peace of mind anytime we have to leave our buddies. We know that our cats will be fed, watered, and medicated on time; that we will get great pictures of our boys twice a day (because of the medication schedule); and that our cats will be happy when we come home.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
