I'm a responsible Gen X woman who has had cats my entire life. My first kitten, Yes'm (named cause we adopted her on a vacation down south), became a part of my family when I was 9 and I've been a crazy cat lady ever since!
I love to travel, experience live music, learn piano, read and write, and visit museums and galleries. I work in the nonprofit sector, am currently in grad school at UIC, and earned my undergrad at Cornell University. I've lived most of my life in Ohio but I'm now a happy Chicagoan!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love meeting so many different purrsonalities! Each cat is so unique and I enjoy getting to know them, to learn what they like and don't like, how they interact with toys, and what kind of attention they enjoy the most.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
🐈⬛ My house panther, Katarina, is my world She's a 15-year-old smooshy chonker who enjoys weekly nipspot nights, Greenies, summer walks in her stroller around Lincoln Park, and napping in one of her 10 favorite spots. She has early-stage kidney disease so she eats mostly KD and other wet food, but sometimes she just really appreciates having her kibbles. She's a bit of a diva and drama queen. It takes her a long time to warm up to someone new but once she does, she's yours for life! 🐈⬛
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
✅ 7-10 DAYS BEFORE I'll contact you to set Meet&Greet, confirm your address/cell/vet form ✅ MEET&GREET I'll let your cat sniff my hand, ask if they want picked up; you'll show me the dishes, food, treats, toys, litter, etc; I'll take your keys ✅ DAY BEFORE I'll check in with you and let you know my planned ETA ✅ 1ST DAY ONLY I'll let you know when I'm on my way to visit your cat ✅ ALL DAYS I'll send photos/video/update re your cat's activities & my tasks. In urgent matters, I'll use your cell first and follow up in the app LAST DAY I'll tidy up & leave keys 1-2 DAYS LATER I'll check in to see how your cat is; leave a review for you & ask the same if you were happy with me
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes. I'm usually available during holidays. If there's a date you need and it looks like it's not available, please just send a message to confirm.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I'm patient. I have a cat who is timid and anxious with new people, strange situations, and rain, so I truly appreciate and understand their need for patience, lots of slow blinking, getting down on their level, and working on building their trust. Treats go a long way!

She’s very transparent and communicative and maintains a schedule for the cats. she sent plenty of photos and videos for each visit as well as a list of everything that was done. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Chicago cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
