I’ve had cats my whole life, starting right when I was born. Feeding the cats and emptying the litter box were my chores growing up, so I learned cat care early. I also learned cats can require a lot of patience and nurturing to warm up to you, or they may be warm from the get-go. I respect all cat’s levels of comfort with me and gauge how I act toward them based on their reactions.
I’ve been a volunteer with Chicago Animal Care & Control in transporting cats to their foster homes, rescues, and vet appointments. I have also fostered kittens and adult cats... If you ask any of my friends what my favorite thing in the world is, it’s cats! I have two of my own (orange is Rufio; gray is Wendy), and I can’t wait to meet your cat!

I’ve been a volunteer with Chicago Animal Care & Control in transporting cats to their foster homes, rescues, and vet appointments. I have also fostered kittens and adult cats. Over the summer, I rescued 4 kittens from an abandoned parking lot: fed them to gain their trust, then arranged for a rescue to trap them and foster them. I then adopted one and arranged for my coworker, who lost her 2 cats within a year, to adopt two of them. Seeing her so happy with the kittens was so fulfilling.
I have also worked in pet insurance and am trained on how to bottle-feed kittens and administer medication.
I live on the northwest side of Chicago, but I don’t discriminate with where I sit. I am also a dog walker, and I have clients from Naperville, the Fox River, Crystal Lake, all neighborhoods in Chicago, and everywhere in between. Honestly, I do it because I love animals that much. I have a 9-5 in insurance that pays the bills, but it doesn’t really feed my soul like caring for cats does. I am very flexible with my date and times, as I can work from home if necessary.
As far as COVID safety, I am fully vaccinated and boosted. I will do whatever you feel is safest for your home. If you would prefer me to wear a mask, I will!

If I could give Christine 20 stars, I would! She was absolutely fantastic. First, just a week before our booking started, we adopted a stray kitten that turned up on our doorstep. I notified Christine immediately about this change and we updated the info accordingly. She was flexible and happy to take care of an additional kitty and we were so grateful. She came twice on two days, gave our oldest cat insulin shots, took many photos and gave our kitties much-needed love in our absence. Each visit she sent me photos and a write up. We were delighted with her service.

Christine alleviated all of my worries about leaving my cats for 10 days. she came around the same time every day at my request and took more pictures than I could ever ask for with text updates. I could tell she cares for cats as if they were her own. I’d book her again without hesitation!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027
Christine's holiday surcharge is 30%.

I do work during the day, 8-4:30, but I have the flexibility to work from home. I can come before work (anywhere in my radius), on my lunch break if you are in the NW Chicago or suburbs, or after work (anywhere in my radius).

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Chicago cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Christine really came through for me during Christmas time, when I had to go home with my family and couldn’t bring my cat due to the amount of dogs that would be around. Even though there was brutal cold and bad weather, she was super attentive and took great care of my baby. She sent me lots of great pictures and videos and my cat clearly got along with her very well :-) She who is great with communication and what is beyond friendly, it definitely put me at ease to know that my cat had someone to visit with them while I was gone in to check on everything that it would need.

Christine was literally the BEST sitter we have EVER had!! Our boy is super shy of new people, and does not come out for anyone except us. But he was hanging out with Christine, giving her snuggles, being silly, and he had no anxiety whatsoever! I’ve never seen him do that before. She literally has a gift - she knew how to address his personality and adapt to make him feel comfortable. Not to mention she sent TONS of pictures and detailed updates, which was our favorite part!! She captured his charisma and we will be framing several because they were so adorable. I literally cannot recommend Christine enough, she is amazing!!
