Hello! I’m Lindsay, and in my community, I am known as the “Cat Whisperer.” From the South Suburbs of Chicago to Northwest Indiana, I’ve dedicated my life to the well-being of animals. My personal sanctuary is home to five cats, chickens, and a peacock—a reflection of my deep-rooted devotion to all of nature’s creatures.

Certified Safety & Professional Expertise
I believe in providing the highest standard of care, which is why I am Red Cross Certified in Pet First Aid & CPR. When you leave your feline companions in my hands, you aren't just getting a sitter; you are getting a trained responder who understands feline health and safety inside and out.

My specialized experience includes:
-Medical Administration: Proficient in administering medications and following complex health protocols.
-Life-Stage Specialist: I offer expert support for kitten development and birthing, as well as dedicated, compassionate care for senior cats.
-Stress-Reduction & Wellness: As a practitioner of calming energy work, I focus on creating a grounded, peaceful environment. This gentle, non-invasive approach is perfect for "spicy" or anxious cats who need help feeling safe while their owners are away.

A Comprehensive Care Network
I am more than just a visitor; I am an advocate for your pet's physical and emotional health. I maintain active affiliations with multiple local veterinary clinics and can provide trusted resources for in-home end-of-life services, ensuring your cat is supported with dignity and comfort at every stage.

Whether you are in the South Suburbs or across the state line in NWI, I treat your cats with the same intuitive care and professional diligence I give my own. I look forward to meeting your furry family members!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Cat people are my people! There’s a secret handshake to being a "real" cat person—like knowing that a slow blink is the ultimate "I love you," or that a "spicy" cat is just a misunderstood genius. I love that every cat is a distinct personality. Whether I’m winning over a "hiss-y" hider with calming energy work or acting as a personal jungle gym for a zoomie-prone kitten, I’m in my element. I live for the moment a shy cat decides I’m "safe" enough to sit near. My own home is a mini-zoo with 5 cats, chickens, and a peacock, so believe me—I speak the language fluently. I’m not just a sitter; I’m a professional advocate for your cat’s specific quirks and comfort!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

My Top Advice for First-Time Bookings: The Vibe Check: Your cat is the best judge. Look for an intuitive "Cat Whisperer" who understands feline body language and can build trust with even the shyest or most "spicy" cats. Professional Safety Nets: Only hire someone vetted and certified. Ensure they are trained in Pet First Aid and have established connections with local vets. In an emergency, you want a pro who already has a plan. Specialized Advocacy: Choose a sitter who is a specialist, not a hobbyist. Whether it’s medical needs, senior care, or kitten development, your sitter should be a proactive communicator and a total advocate for your cat’s physical and emotional well-being.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

My New Client Process: The Deep-Dive Consultation: Every partnership starts with a thorough "intake" to align on expectations. I want to know exactly how you treat your cat daily—from their favorite chin-scratch spot to their specific "dinner dance"—so I can maintain that consistency in your absence. Medical & Safety Prep: We’ll review medical history, confirm my Red Cross First Aid protocols, and exchange my direct veterinary contacts for total emergency readiness. Energy & Vibe Check: I spend time observing your cat’s body language to tailor my calming energy work to their specific needs. Seamless Communication: We’ll establish a check-in schedule that works for you, including detailed updates and photos, so you never have to wonder how your feline friend is doing. My goal is for your cat to feel like their routine never skipped a beat!

Lindsay was GREAT!! Our kitties clearly loved her and she took such good care of them while we were traveling for a few days. Pretty sure she spoiled them more than I do (and that’s saying something!) - we’d book her again!

Lindsay provided exceptional home care for my multiple-cat family, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From our first meeting, she took comprehensive notes on each cat's routine, personality, and specific needs, giving me complete confidence that they would be well cared for. What impressed me most was her willingness to go above and beyond. In addition to following my instructions, she offered to handle litter box duties, clean up unexpected messes, and vacuum around the litter box areas. Her attention to detail and proactive approach gave me tremendous peace of mind while I was away. I have several very shy cats who rarely come out for visitors, so I was amazed that they felt comfortable enough to come out and receive attention from Lindsay. That alone speaks volumes about her patient, gentle, and caring nature. Lindsay cared for both my indoor and outdoor cats with professionalism, compassion, and genuine affection. I returned home to happy, relaxed cats and a clean, well-maintained home. She exceeded my expectations in every way, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for personalized, reliable, and truly exceptional cat care. Thank you, Lindsay, for treating my cats with such kindness and care. Knowing they were in such capable hands allowed me to enjoy my time away without worry, and that peace of mind was truly priceless. I look forward to having you care for them again in the future. ❤️🐾

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
