During each visit, I’ll follow the established routine carefully and send a thoughtful update with photos. I want you to leave feeling confident that I understand what matters to you and that your cat will receive attentive, consistent care from someone who genuinely enjoys getting to know them.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I treat the safety of your cats and the security of your home as equally important responsibilities. I carefully follow all key, entry, and alarm instructions, keep access information confidential, and make sure exterior doors aren’t left open unnecessarily. Before leaving, I check that designated doors and windows are secure. During each visit, I make sure every cat is safe and accounted for, including those who prefer to hide. I also pay attention to food and water intake, litter-box activity, behavior, and the surrounding environment so I can recognize anything unusual. If I observe a concern, cannot locate a cat safely, or believe something may be wrong, I’ll contact you promptly rather than make assumptions. I’ll also keep your veterinarian and emergency-contact information available. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away knowing your cats and home are being treated with care and respect.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I allow timid and anxious cats to set the pace. I move slowly, speak quietly, and give them space until they’re ready to engage.
