Hi, I’m Beth! I am new to Meowtel but not new to cat/petsitting. I have been a pet sitter for many years (15+)! I started out as just caring for dogs but I began to care for cats in 2017 when I lived in Chicago. I am Fear Free Certified and I have experience with cats ranging from friendly to fractious. I am comfortable with all ages as well! I have experience with administering medications, fluids, and nail trimmings.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

My very favorite cat to care for is named Chipper. His full name is Commander Chip Morton. He was my first cat sitting job in Chicago. He made me love cats! He has the best personality and was super easy to care for. I would stay with him and keep him company while his parents went on vacation. I sadly don’t care for him anymore as he lives in Chicago and I cannot do in-home stays as I have pets of my own to care for.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have an almost 6 year old, tuxedo cat named Sushi Roll. He is named after my favorite food, Sushi!

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, but not during the week of the 4th of July. My family and I always spend this week in Northern Michigan together. For almost all other holidays, I am home and available.

Beth was great and helped us out for multiple days during a several week trip including a holiday. She was very thorough, sent detailed updates, and I could tell both of our cats warmed to her right away even though one of them tends to be a little skittish. Beth was absolutely wonderful with our four cats! Leaving them for over a week is always nerve-wracking, but Beth kept us updated throughout the whole stay, which gave us such peace of mind. Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
