My name is Sam and I've been a cat owner since I was a child. I grew up on a live stock farm and had several chores and responsibilities when caring for our animals. My sister and I mainly cared for our cats and dogs. I remember having to wake up before school to feed our animals. While my older brothers were still home, I remember waking up early to bottle feed our baby cow and then doing the same thing after school. We also cleaned out their stalls and helped maintain the weeds and what not in their pasture.

As an adult, I've had cats for the last 7 years. I adopted my grandmas cat when she had to be put into a care facility and I fell in love all over again. I gave time for Deliliah to adjust to us and her new environment. We love her so much and she is the most perfect lap cat. She always wants to be by us, which I love when I'm home alone and for companionship. She just always wants to be by someone.

After about a year, we wanted Deliliah to have a partner/companion and we decided to adopt our second cat Penny from a local organization called CatSnap... I love CatSnap and told so many people about them and how they try so hard to help cats of all ages to get rehomed. Their adoption "fees" are donated to the organization to help cover costs of other cats who need medical attention, vet visits, medication, and all the other basic things cats need. I was proud that my money was going back into their community and it was going towards helping more cats.

When we adopted Penny, I wanted to make sure my cats were respected and taken care of. I provided them with 2 litter boxes minimum, 2 food bowls, and 2 water fountains that we change filters on monthly. Cats aren't able to take care of themselves and they rely on me for them to be comfortable, safe and taken care of.

I have recently moved and due to a family member passing, I adopted another cat. His name is Gohan and he has been with us for a year. I now have 4 of everything; cat trees, litter boxes, food and water dishes. I have things spread out to give each of them a chance at space, privacy, and quiet. My fiance and I are currently working and putting cat shelves on our walls to give them more surface area and vertical spaces to explore. They really do say, cats are the rulers of the house! :)

I have experience giving mycats both liquid and pill medication. All 3 have been on antibiotics at some point since we've had them. I've applied topical ointments and sprays we well for minor cuts.

I have worked in retail for the last 13 years, some being part time as a 2nd job. I also have 9 years experience as a dental hygienist. During those 9 years I was caring for all ages and treating their dental needs. It takes a special skill to be able to communicate to all different types of people and their personalities. Also, you're providing care that a lot of people have anxiety about. I take pride in making people feel cared for and treated with respect. Due to carpel tunnel, I now work full time in retail as a General Manager. Customers are my priority, I want to make sure they are being helped and taken care of. I have connected with so many people and I love being that potential good experience that day. My job is pretty flexible, I can make visits before my shifts, on my breaks and after work. I can do early mornings and later evenings.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
