Sometimes when a cat's owner is gone for a period of time, the cats not only need food and water but someone to hang out with them and give them companionship. If your cat needs another human to hang out and chat with them while I give them their lunch or dinner, I am more than happy to play, sit, even chat with them! Each cat is different and whether a cat likes to hang out on laps or just observe things from afar, It's all part of their personality.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting for 8 years, and I have taken care of kittens as well as older senior cats. I have been a cat owner for 22 years.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love meeting other cats, because they are all so different! Some are shy, some love to talk, some love to play. I love making sure kitties are looked after so the owner can travel with no worries.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a mini panther named Sweep. When she sits in a sunny window her black fur magically turns brown and shiny! We also have Havoc, a two year old tabby. He's a big boy! We sometimes call him Little Dude or Mr. Fluffy Cheeks.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Make sure to schedule a meet and greet so that I can meet your kitty and you. Sometimes they are shy and need to see that I'm a friend.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I try to schedule a meet and greet as soon as possible, to ensure that the cat parent is comfortable with a new sitter.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I always close the door when coming into the home so they can't slip out. When feeding, I make sure they have eaten and they have plenty of water. I like to play with whatever toys they have available. I also talk to them throughout the visit.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes I'm available during holidays. I don't usually travel during holidays so I'm around.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite toy is a big wand with fake feathers on the end. That, and the laser pointer. My cat, however, will tell you that her favorite is a well-loved fake fabric snake that she carries around the house!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I talk to them the whole time I am there so they get to know my voice, and to make them feel comfortable.

Anne is truly a cat-person, and my cats immediately felt comfortable with her during our pre-reservation meeting. One of my cats even insisted that she rub his belly! LoL Anne has sat for my cats twice now and they absolutely love her. The daily photos she sends shows that my cats are happy and well-loved. Anne’s a keeper!

Anne took care of my cats for the second time this past weekend. My trip was unexpected and last minute, but fortunately, Anne accepted the job on very short notice. We exchanged a few texts while I was gone and Anne also sent great photos. During her last visit, Anne had the foresight to completely fill the food bowls in case I was delayed coming home, which I was. I arrived home 12 hours later than expected. Knowing Anne is taking care of my cats gives me complete peace of mind. I'm so glad I found her!

I have a high-maintenance calico cat. She needs a lot of attention & snuggles. Anne was great with my cat giving her plenty of attention & lap time as was clear from my cat’s behavior when I returned home. I won’t call anyone else to care for my cat when I’m traveling.

Anne did a great job taking care of our cat, Amy, while we were away for the holiday! All of Amy's needs were met and although she is shy with strangers, she quickly warmed up to Anne and was greeting her when she arrived instead of hiding. Coming home to Amy's used food bowls having been cleaned was such a nice unexpected extra to come home to! We would gladly choose Anne again to care for Amy, knowing she'll be in good hands.

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Anne's holiday surcharge is 5%.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Roselle cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Anne was the perfect sitter for my cats. My shy orange cat did not hide from her even during her first visit. I had never left my cats for more than 8 hours since I adopted them 2 years ago so I was very worried they would feel sad and abandoned, but Anne sent photos and written reports the very first day and every day after which gave me so much relief. I could tell my cats had warmed up to her and I was able to enjoy my vacation. Anne also took in my mail and offered to give one of my cats medication if necessary. Not only did I choose the right sitter but now I know someone I can trust with my cats the next time I need to be away.
