We have 9 kitties at home. (And 1 honorary cat.) Duncan and Mousey - the twins (litter mates) Seashell - mama's girl Chonk - my bottle baby and grumpy boy Specs - the aggressive cuddler Kahlua - feral to lap cat (in 5 long years, but worth the patience) Charlie - my gentle giant (Maine Coon) Damon - my orange boy Rum - my little velociraptor (her middle name is Blue) Kya - technically a dog, but the cats raised her

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, I'm am usually always available on all holidays. So, cat sitting during the holidays? Not a problem at all.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

My Kahlua was part of a colony I helped manage. When she came to us for fostering, it was clear she was almost completely feral, terrified of everything and everyone. It took months, learning her fears, and how to navigate them, accomadate her and change how we interacted. We respected her boundaries and never forced attention on her, waiting for her to come to us, in her time. It took 8 months before she came to me and let me pet her. It took 2 years before she laid on my lap. Now 5 years later, she's still jumpy, but she marches up to me and plops herself in my lap and demands pets. That's how I handle all cats, not just the timid. I work on their time, letting them dictate the interaction, letting them know I am someone safe.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
