All my kitties have been rescues that were welcomed to my family at various ages.
I had both single cat and multi cat households. In total I had 11 kitties, although the most at any one time has been 4.
I’ve been blessed that all my kitties have lived long lives and were (are) well loved. Nine were indoor ... I am a lifelong cat guardian! Over 50 years of loving and caring for kitties. I have experience with kittens through geriatric kitties.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Currently my kitties are Monte and Max. They are a father/son duo who had been surrendered together. Monte is a long hair full black male kitty who is now 4 years old. Max is a long hair buff colored male who will be 2 years old in August. Our angel kitties are Mr Kat, Tigger, Kaylee, Salem, Edward, Snooki, Paulie, Organgey and Gracie Mae.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
When I’ve hired cat sitters, I conduct an interview with them to gain insight to their level of experience with cats. I’ll ask behavioral based questions such as tell me about a time when a cat you were sitting was constantly asking for food; how did you handle this and what was the outcome. Or what questions do you ask the pet parents when you are engaged to care for their kitties. Why do you ask this questions. I would also suggest a “meet and greet” before committing to a sitting engagement. Observe how the individual engages and interacts with your kitty. Note this that make you comfortable and uncomfortable. Finally, detailed written instructions for feeding, watering, litter box cleaning, clean up of an accidents or vomiting, dispensing treats and or medication, acceptable toys etc are so helpful in setting direction and
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
With cats that are particularly timid or anxious, i wait for the kitty to approach me. I avoid eye contact and let them sniff me. I also will use toys to engage them once they have shown interest. If allowed by their parents, I will offer a treat to entice them a bit. I do not initiate contact. I let the kitty come to me.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
