I have two cats and have grown up with cats most of my life. I currently work at a local pet boarding facility and dog day care, which also hosts cats! In a previous job, I worked with Alley Cat Advocates, a local non profit that spays and neuters stray cats. I’ve handled and interacted with cats in both calm and stressful environments. I had an elderly cat with hyperthyroidism and renal failure, and have administered medications to him and other cats within my previous workplaces.

I also love plants and never mind watering plants while watching your kitties!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have begun my cat sitti my experience this summer and have sat for a few people now. I absolutely love meeting new cats and helping people out so they do not have to worry about their home and cats while away!!

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

My very first cat sitting experience!! I met two precious babies who were a little shy. I loved getting to know them and seeing their personalities as they got comfortable around me!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Two cats right now - bean, a seven year old tabby, and Rory, a five year old black cat.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I will give them the space they desire. Get down/kneel so I seem less of a threat, talk softly, and allow them to approach me. Maybe offer some treats, too!

Ash is so friendly and I can tell she loves cats! She did her best to coax my shy kitties out and play with them, and made sure they had plenty of food and water. She did a wonderful job and I will definitely hire her again!

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
