What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have done this for 5 years professionally, but otherwise I have taken care of cats my whole life, especially tagging along with my mom.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love being able to help a cat feel comfortable around me. I also love being able to play, brush, and pet them.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite cat sitting reservation was a time when it was an overnight stay. It was for 2 cats. They ended up sleeping on the bed with me and when I woke up they were curled up on the pillow next to me.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have one cat named Storm. She was a stray that hung around our house and eventually had kittens. We took care of all of them.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Make sure you have a connection with them that feels natural instead of just transactional. Make sure you feel comfortable with them in your home and taking care of your cat.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I make sure to introduce myself and answer any questions they may have. Then I ask questions like the cat’s behavior, feeding schedule, and if there is any medication that needs to be administered.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I make sure to double check myself coming in and out of any door that the cat is not trying to escape. I also make sure nothing dangerous is left out that the cat may get into.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes I am usually available during the holidays. It is rare that I have to travel or plan to go on vacation during the holidays.
What is your favorite cat toy?
I love playing with lasers and letting the cats chase them. They can have fun and get some exercise at the same time. I also love the feathers on the wand.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I speak to them calmly and softly. I also don’t make any sudden movements and walk very slowly and quietly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
