What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

Personally, I’ve cared for cats (including my own) belonging to family and friends most of my life. These have ranged from daily drop-ins to extended stays. Professionally, I worked for a local pet sitting company in Durham and have numerous feline clients, several of which were special needs.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

The wide variety of personalities. I work carefully to earn their trust and love watching anxious kitties come out of their shell. I also love watching kittens grow up over time if sits are spaced out over extended periods.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

An orange tabby named Bobbi. He was overweight and the owner told me he likely would not come out of his bedroom. Within 2 sits he was playing, chasing, and even ventured downstairs to greet me at the door. He loved pouncing on the laser pointer and was a very loving boy.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a 16-year-old lady named Fiona. We’ve been through a lot together, including her cancer and a scare with liver failure. She’s still thriving, even if her tongue hangs out a bit.

Cortney was phenomenal. Super pleasant to work with and did a fantastic job with Luna! Was very timely and accommodating and shared photos and a write up of every visit! I can tell my cat really appreciated her and felt loved. Definitely recommend and will have Cortney watch her again!

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
