I live in Allston and love to go to homes that are easily accessible on the T, but can also drive if needed! When I first meet a new cat friend I like to let them approach me and sniff or rub themselves on my leg so that they feel comfortable around me. I love to get to know each kitty’s personality and want to spend time with them during the visit. We will play with some toys if they are interested, have some pets, or even just enjoy each other’s presence.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a kitty named Margot. She is my second cat, I adopted her in March after my first kitty, Luna, passed away from cancer.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I would like to meet with the parents and the kitty(ies) first to see how everyone reacts to me in the home. I also want to learn about kitty’s routine - what/when do they eat, where is the litter box, and where are their toys. I also want to know about any emergency contacts and medications.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I try to keep things the same as how the cat parents left it before they went away. If they kept certain doors closed/locked those will remain that way unless they inform me otherwise. I won’t bring any other foods or items into the home that the kitty could get into. And I will make sure that the kitty(ies) don’t have access to anything unnecessary.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I love a laser toy. Both of my cats have always loved to play with lasers and I love to see them run around trying to catch the light.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I will try to coax kitty out with treats and if they let me give them head scratches then I will do that as well. Having two very anxious cats, I have learned that you have to let them ultimately decide if they are going to participate.

Elaina recently watched my cat, Ollie, and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! She was attentive, kind, and super communicative, sending daily photos, videos, and little updates. As a cat owner herself, she knows exactly how to care for cats and spent extra time playing with Ollie, giving him attention, and keeping him company so he never felt lonely. She kept his litter box clean, and when he was sick, she cleaned everything up and made sure he was okay. When I got home, everything was neat and Ollie was happy and relaxed. Frequently Asked Questions

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Allston cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
