What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I've had cats my entire life! I've started cat sitting for over a year now.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

This is the closest I will ever get to adopting hundreds of cats.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

My favorite cat sitting experience is from a repeat client. The cats always greet me by the door and demand attention and pets (which I happily provide). They are older cats but love cuddles!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes! Her name is Naya. She is 8 years old and my best friend! She loves to eat and be around me! I also have two rabbits named Max & Ruby (yes, after that kids show on Nickelodeon). They are the cutest!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Type or write down instructions for cat sitters! Some cat sitters take notes but having instructions ensures that nothing important is missed.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Leaving your furr babies is nerve wracking, I get it. During the meet and greet, I provide pet parents opportunities to express any concerns they may have and address those concerns. I provide new clients with a complete description of how the visits will go and give them my personal cell number to provide daily updates consisting of photos and videos to help ease any anxiety. The cats are basically on vacation!

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

As soon as I walk in, I look for the cats to ensure that they didn't get into any trouble! Before leaving I also check for the cats to confirm that they are in the house. When entering the house, I slowly open the door to ensure cats are not right at the door and ready to run out. Once in the house I lock the door and go about cat sitting. After leaving, I always lock the door behind me and I always check to confirm the door is locked.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes! I'm definitely available for the week of Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's and July 4th.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I love the laser! I love how it activates their predatory instincts!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I give them their space and get down to their level avoiding eye contact. I would provide them with treats to create a positive association with me. Some cats remain timid throughout the reservation period and that's absolutely fine. All cats are different and I love them all the same!

Nadia was an excellent sitter and companion for my kitty, who can be shy. Nadia stayed on top of feeding, cleaning litter, keeping water fountain flowing, brushing and taking great care of my kitty while I was away an entire week. She checked in daily with photos and updates; I was relaxed and confident my kitty was in purrfect hands. I will definitely be using Nadia again for those days when I’m away nearly all day, in addition to any overnight travel. Can’t recommend her enough!

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
