What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve lived with or owned cats for over twenty years, and my several years of professional sitting experience have introduced me to many different cat breeds and personalities. Whether I was familiar with the cat before a sit or not, I always find that I know much more about them after a sit. Getting to spend such close time with animals that I love is very special!

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I make sure to follow owner instructions to a T and am hyperaware of the environment when cat sitting. I’m careful with all doors, windows, and other home entrances, and I don’t change anything about your cat’s environment unless you ask me to or to keep your cat safe.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I can relate to cats who can be shy or anxious, and I’m always extra gentle with them. While the goal is to be able to cuddle all the cats I possibly can, I recognize that not every cat is at a stage where they’re comfortable doing that, with a stranger or otherwise. In those cases, I will give your cat as much space as they need, letting them take the lead in coming to me for attention when they’re ready, or maybe not at all. When a cat prefers space, I still make sure to keep a close eye on them so I can be sure to notice right away if something isn’t right with them or their environment.

Kit always takes amazing care of my two cats, who both have special dietary and medical needs. One of my cats is anxious and very slow to warm up to strangers, but he loves Kit and is super comfortable with her. She always does a great job making sure both of my cats get their medicine and is diligent about following their specific dietary and care needs. She is communicative and sends frequent updates, and does a great job maintains my cats' usual routines. I'm so grateful that I can travel with ease knowing my cats are in great hands. My cats are always super happy and well-cared for when I get home.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
