Hi! My name is Joselena (joe-suh-lee-nuh) and I’d love to watch your kitty! I’ve grown up around cats and have always watched friend’s and family member’s pets, I love animals. I currently have one 11 year old black cat, Bella, who is a shy queen and very much enjoys being an only child, but I have her blessing to pet sit for others. Hi! My name is Joselena (joe-suh-lee-nuh) and I’d love to watch your kitty! I’ve grown up around cats and have always watched friend’s and family member’s pets, I love animals. I currently have one 11 year old black cat, Bella, who is a shy queen and very much enjoys being an only child, but I have her blessing to pet sit for others. I truly believe putting in the effort and patience to get to know cats and build their trust is so rewarding. During the day, you can find me working at my computer as a data manager for a cancer research group, with Bella usually by my side if she isn’t watching the birds from her catio. At night, Bella and I are usually cuddled up watching a true crime show or reading a book. My schedule can be flexible and I am currently located in Dedham, MA. What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I love sitting!! I have been sitting various pets for 10+ years but cats hold a special place in my heart and I’m so happy to be able to meet new kitties via Meowtel❤️I just celebrated my 1 year anniversary on Meowtel!🥳
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Cats have so much personality! I love meeting new kitties and seeing their funny habits and making sure they are safe while their main caretakers are away.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have one 11 year old black kitty named Bella but often see my parents cats Cookie (the one with the mustache in the photos) and Ash who looks like a little tiger😸
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
At this point in my journey I highly recommend a meet and greet to talk about food, water, litter requirements and expectations, and key handoff. I also personally feel more comfortable meeting someone before I have access to their home!
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I usually stay local during holidays and have reliable transportation.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
My cat is VERY timid, and I give her time to feel safe. I believe patience is key and not pushing boundaries is very important. I let cats take their time to warm up to me and make sure my presence is known but not intimidating. I let shy kitties take the first step so it’s all on their terms❤️

It can take a while for our cat to warm up to people and she often doesn’t interact much with others, but Joselena has been patient and earned her trust. They now have their own little routine! It’s such a relief to know our cat is in good hands when we’re away.

Perfect reservation, we had a prior meet and greet straight after booking. Joselena met with our two kitties and we discussed their sitting needs. We received regular updates and pictures, all dishes were washed and was on time at each visit. Trustworthy and took great care of our kitties! Would highly recommend!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Dedham cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

This was our second time having Joselena take care of our two cats, and she was great once again! Joselena is always very quick to respond and is always reliable. Both of our cats are comfortable around her, and one of them is usually very shy! You could tell they were both at ease and well taken care of in all the pictures she sent us. Joselena is simply great! She was brilliant with the timing and super accommodating with us, so we could relax while on vacation as we knew the cats were in absolutely great hands! Cats looked very relaxed in the pictures she sent (they use to hide if they don’t like someone or if they are scared) but she was so sweet to pet them and play with them. Very happy with her.
