Jac's Cat Sitting

Cat Sitting in Everett, MA

Hi!
My name is Jacqueline and ever since I could remember I've always adored animals! Over the years my family and I have loved and cared for multiple pets❤️Right now we currently have 5 fur babies, a delightful mix of 2 cats, 2 dogs, and 1 rabbit. Honestly, creating a mini zoo…
After high school, I decided to adopt my first cat ever. She was this shy little kitten at first and now she's the most affectionate, loving, and at times crazy, cat ever. Her name is Chai. Chai is also adventurous and very sneaky 😅 During one of these sneaky adventures came Kiki, a sassy ball of fluff. Don't be fooled by her quietness, and cute features, she secretly hates you (except me).
They are the reason why I love cats and why I want to help every cat In need.

My Personal Experience:

In the past, I have catsit for friends and family, As well as helped and volunteered with a cat shelter for TNR. I have experience with cats of different ages, from kittens to seniors...

My Personal Experience:

In the past, I have catsit for friends and family, As well as helped and volunteered with a cat shelter for TNR. I have experience with cats of different ages, from kittens to seniors. I also have experience administering oral and topical medication, as well as administering eye/ear (If they are comfortable with others administered it)
As a pet parent of multiple pets, I've learned to be patient as every animal has their boundaries and different personalities, so I consider that when meeting/caring for a new pet. I'm very gentle and caring as well as knowledgeable and understand that every pet is different and requires specific care needs. I am very comfortable with learning new skills to better help the care of your fur baby.
I’m hoping to gain more experience in the pet care industry so I can start working more with animals. My goal is to someday start a pet care business of my own :) and help animals in need ❤️

- Play with your cat and give them lots of pets and love, while of course, respecting their boundaries.

Learn More About Jacqueline

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I can't believe it's been almost two years since I started caring for kitties! Each day brings a new adventure and a lesson in their behavior. It's amazing how much they teach me! ☺️

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

The cats - Need I say more? No, but honestly, any interaction with any animal is the best experience anyone could have 🥰

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Absolutely! Their names are Chai and Kiki! 🐾 They're not just my first kitties, they’re the reason for all of this of joy and mischief I get to enjoy.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

First, make sure you fill out the vet release form and complete your cat's profile so that we can better care for your kitty. Also, give as much information about your cat as possible, what they like, where they hide, spots they don’t like to be touched, etc. If they require medication please let us know if they are comfortable with others administering it to them. If not, it’s great to know some tips and tricks on the best ways you were able to do it :)

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I prefer having an in person meet and greet for a proper introduction with the kitty, but I'm also available for a Zoom meeting if that works better for you. During the meeting, I like the parents to give me a tour of their home, showing me where everything is, including where they feed their pets and their routine. Please take your time, feel free to provide as much information as you’d like during our time together. I have prepared questions and will be taking notes throughout the meeting.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I always double check to make sure that every door is closed and locked behind me whenever I enter or leave the home. If the kitties have enjoyed some time by the windows, I make sure to close those as well once they are done. Any doors that need to be left closed will be left closed as well. After each visit, I count all the kitties to confirm that they are all present, and I give them plenty of goodbye pets! I am committed to keeping your pets safe at all times by keeping a close eye on them and giving the best care possible!

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes! I am available during holidays. Just reach out! :)

What is your favorite cat toy?

My remote mouse toy, or any interactive cat toy. Every cat has LOVED playing with it and I would highly recommend it to any cat parent :)

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I try and gain their trust first. If they are anxious or timid they usually don't want to be approached so I don't. I stay quiet and I don't make loud sudden noises or movements. The gentler the better :) some cats are also food and treat motivated so giving them their favorite things over and over again will eventually get them to trust you more. It's all about gaining their trust. Let them approach you. And be patient.

This month

Jacqueline was excellent in every way--from her good questions and carful note taking during our initial meet/greet to taking care of our cats (including pilling one of them for each visit) to communicating with us before, during, and just after our trip. Jacqueline puts the cats first, showing them kindness, gentleness, and care as she demonstrated in the photos and videos she sent us during each of her visits. We fully recommend Jacqueline for your cat care.

Jacqueline is lovely! She asked thorough questions on the meet + greet, provided updates and photos, and genuinely loved being around cats. Our cat is high maintenance but she went above and beyond to give our cat playtime and attention, and even turned on cat tv for him. So glad that we had her to cat sit!

Jacqueline was so amazing with our cats, I can’t recommend her enough!! We got so many great picture and video updates. Also, our shy cat interacted with her almost immediately which has never happened before! Usually it takes at least a few days, so we were really pleasantly surprised. I guess our cat could sense the good vibes. 10/10 couldn’t be more thrilled with the cat visits!

Jacqueline was absolutely fantastic looking after our cat, Taggy! First of all, she is incredible at communicating - she let us know when she would be doing her visits and gave detailed updates for every visits (including pictures of his food and litter box). She also went out of her way to make sure Taggy was happy - giving him lots of love and even putting on cat TV for him (which he loved). Taggy can sometimes be a little moody when we are away, but Jacqueline was totally understanding and sweet with him. I’m very happy to have her take care of Taggy in the future!

Jacqueline was great! She always left detailed updates and plenty of photos after each visit. She tended to my cat with so much care and made every effort to engage with him, even though he is extremely shy and fearful.

Jacqueline did a wonderful job with my two cats! She followed all the instructions perfectly, and gave them lots of love and attention. Jacqueline kept eveything neat and clean, provided special drinks at the faucet and sent great photos and reports on how the two did after every visit!

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Everett cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $32.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
