I’m Shannon and I’m a loving cat mom to my 2 wonderful kitties Lucio and Leonora. My favorite part of my day is getting to play and hang out with my cats. Another favorite pastime of mine is hanging out with other people’s cats! I love to meet new cats and learn their unique personalities. If a cat wants to chill we can chill, and if a cat wants to play we can play as long as they want.
My two kitties both have health conditions that have required special vet diets as well as medicat... Hello!
I’m Shannon and I’m a loving cat mom to my 2 wonderful kitties Lucio and Leonora. My favorite part of my day is getting to play and hang out with my cats. Another favorite pastime of mine is hanging out with other people’s cats! I love to meet new cats and learn their unique personalities. If a cat wants to chill we can chill, and if a cat wants to play we can play as long as they want.
My two kitties both have health conditions that have required special vet diets as well as medication at times. I feel comfortable giving liquid medication and make sure to be as gentle and patient as possible when giving medication. I’m not the most experienced with medications in pill form (my kitties are not good about it at all even when trying the pill pockets) but I’m working on getting better with it!
I’m known to my friends and family as a cat lady and wear that badge proudly! Whenever people need someone to check in on or catsit, I will always volunteer to help out however I can.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
My favorite part is getting to meet and hang out with all the cute kitties! Every cat has their own unique personality and I love to learn all their little quirks and make them happy :)
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Lucio is my 10 year old Bombay male cat and he made me a cat mom! We’ve had him for over 5 years now and he’s a big gentle giant who loves to play. He has had urinary issues in the past but after having surgery and being on a special vet diet he’s been healthy for the last 4 years! Leo is the newest addition to the family and she’s a 2 year old tuxedo cat. She’s the sweetest most gentle girl but when she plays she goes hard! When we got her she had stomach issues and after a lot of back and forth visits to the hospital we now have her on a special vet diet and she’s been getting stronger and stronger since.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I can totally relate to being shy and anxious especially when meeting new people! What I always try to do is to speak gently, try to get close (not too close) and wait to see if they’ll come out and get curious. I’ll let them initiate all contact and let them sniff my hand.

When we returned after a week away, our apartment was in the exact shape we left it in. She even cleaned up some hairballs and some scattered litter. Our cats seemed content and we felt at ease while we were away. Would recommend Shannon to other travelling cat owners :)

Shannon did an incredible job with my shy and skittish Bdubs. I reached out last minute and she really saved the day. She was incredibly patient and attentive to his needs. He’s very picky with who he comes out from under the bed for, and Shannon got the stamp of approval from him! 20/10 would recommend Shannon to anyone!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Medford cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $32.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
