What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I like to start with a 15-20 minute meet and greet, where I can get to know your, your home, and your cat. I take notes about their usual day, behavior, where everything I need will be to ensure I can find everything and provide them all the care they need and deserve. It’s important for me to get to know you and your cat before you go away to ensure I can take care of them as best as possible. I ensure that during the duration of your travels I remain contactable 24/7.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I ensure that all doors are locked when leaving, I ensure that any house keys or codes are safely stored and hidden. When opening doors, I open slowly and carefully to ensure nobody dashes out. Before leaving homes, I ensure nothing breakable, unedible, or otherwise dangerous is accessible to any cats.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

My own cat is a super timid girl, so I have great experience here! With especially nervous kitties, I take things really slow. I like to sit down in an open area, limit my movement, and let any curious-yet-timid cats come check me out. I let them sniff me and really take their time before making any movement to befriend them. I make sure they know I’m not a threat, and in taking things at their pace, I can often make a friend of even the more timid cats I watch!

Maggie is a kind and patient cat sitter who loves cats of all ages sizes and types. She has shown compassion and the ability to help those around her. Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

The Meowtel Promise & Satisfaction Guarantee

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
