I absolutely love hanging out with and caring for cats of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. For many years, I lived with two adopted cats who had completely opposite personalities... Hey there, cat parents! I am a lifelong cat lover through and through. According to my mom, my very first word was actually "meow," and I was even voted "Most Likely to Own 10 Cats" in my high school senior superlatives! Since I don't currently have a cat of my own, I am always craving quality feline time, which means your kitty will get 100% of my love, attention, and focus during every visit!
I absolutely love hanging out with and caring for cats of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. For many years, I lived with two adopted cats who had completely opposite personalities. One was older, mellow, and independent (but loved to be pet), while the other was younger, highly active, affectionate, and struggled with separation anxiety. Through them, and my time volunteering and teaching cat yoga at a cat cafe, I’ve learned how to read feline body language and provide exactly what each individual cat needs.

While I don’t have a kitty in my small Winthrop apartment, I have a cat who lives with my parents named Buzz! He is gray with white “socks” and a white mustache. He loves to be around people and is attached like glue to my dad. Buzz was my emotional support cat during freshman year of college and has been such a fun addition to my childhood home. We love how he “talks” to us with his little squeaky meows.
What is your favorite cat toy?
It has to be a tie between anything catnip-infused and wand toys! I love to watch them go wild on the ‘nip or see the classic hunting butt-wiggle right before they pounce! Teaser wands are especially great because they let me mimic natural prey movements, making them the perfect tool for helping energetic kitties get their zoomies out or gently coaxing a shy cat out of their shell.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I follow their lead and what their body language tells me. If their ears are back, I’ll keep my distance and exchange slow blinks, allowing the cat decide if they’re ready to meet me or if they want to keep to themselves. I speak in a soft voice and avoid direct eye contact, sitting quietly on the floor so they can adjust to my presence at their own pace. Winning over a shy cat through patience, quiet companionship, and a gradual transition to head scratches is one of the most rewarding parts of sitting for me!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
